`MCWIND_PROVIDER_VERSION` **12200**, was 11900.
Seven new callable symbols and nothing removed, so a 1.1.20 pack compiles unchanged unless it calls `mcw_frost*`. That family was **WIP** and has been replaced whole; it still is WIP.
**Requires PlunderEngine `0.1.21`.** Sixteen jars this time: four Minecraft versions, each for Fabric and for NeoForge. The names say which: `+mc26.2`, `+mc26.1.2`, `+mc1.21.11` or `+mc1.21.1`, and `-neoforge-` for NeoForge. Take the pair that matches your game and your loader. All sixteen carry the same shader header.
- **NeoForge.** Every Fabric version gets a NeoForge build, with the same features.
- **Minecraft 1.21.1.** Version of the game has no tinted leaf particle, so WindLink brings its own and every species sheds leaves, as it does on the newer versions.
- **No crash at startup beside particle_core.**
- **Nether portals move air.** An overworld portal sucks air in and a Nether portal breathes it out. `mcw_portalPush` gives a pack the same push, and `mcw_grassPush` already adds it.
- **What a portal swallows comes back out burning.** Grass, seeds, straw and leaves drawn into an overworld portal leave the Nether side, catch fire, glow and smoke.
- **A creative flying player wake stops having infinite vertical reach**
- **The wave distance is a slider,** on a new Performance tab, with the shadow pass on its own. It was a pack `#define` before.`mcw_waveFade` reads it and `mcw_waveFadeShadow` is the shadow half.
- **Shorelines interpolate smoothly.** `mcw_readWater` returns one value per block, so foam built on its `open` stepped at every block edge. **`mcw_readWaterSmooth`** reads the same channel filtered between blocks and returns `open` and `surfaceY` only, so a shore ramp runs continuously out from the waterline. Its `known` means water is near, so foam reaches the bank. Reported by **JoshTheB**.
- **`mcwind.fieldlut`**, off by default. Foliage reads a wind field the mod bakes once per block instead of working it out per vertex: one texture read where a grass vertex spent twenty-eight noise evaluations, with the gust updating in steps.
- **Frost is lip and plaster now.** The white strip across the top of a snowy block's side, and texels turning white in a fixed order as it builds. Still WIP.
- **Shared wind grid**, on the wind tab and off by default. Blown leaves and dust read one coarse grid, 147 field samples a tick however many are flying, instead of one sample each.

`MCWIND_PROVIDER_VERSION` **11900**
Fourteen new callable symbols, none removed: a 1.1.19 pack compiles unchanged. The `mcw_frost*` family ships too but is **WIP** - names and behavior are both still moving, so do not build on it.
**Requires PlunderEngine `0.1.20`.** Built three times, and the jar names say which: `+mc26.2`, `+mc26.1.2`, `+mc1.21.11`. Take the pair that matches your game. The two ports carry everything below except the Particle Rain integration.
- **Particle Snow.** Flakes arrive from upwind instead of falling out of the sky, spindrift tears off trees, roofs and the ground crust, and boots kick snow. Vanilla or Particle are options in mod menu.
- **Snow on a leaf moves with the leaf**, over `mcw_readCanopy`.
- **Leaves float, gather at shorelines, and float on water.** `mcw_readFloater` publishes where floating debris is and how long it has been there, so a pack can sync the floatation with it's waves.
- **A sealed room can tell it's sealed.** `mcw_readVent` publishes the interior draft (WIP).
- **The ground under you sets the wind.** A snowy peak is not a sheltered valley.
- **`mcw_draftDown`** carries the vertical half of the draft, for flier downwash.
- **Gust shape is adjustable:** `MCW_GUST_STREAK`, `_WARP`, `_MIN`, `_MAX`. The defaults are the old shape.
- **The Nether has an experimental wind pattern**. Off by default.
- **Physics Mod, Grassier Grass an Fancy World Animations wind unification**, each with a toggle on the Mods screen. FWA's lanterns swing through the `SwingDrivers` hook contributed as a PR for it.
- **Serene Seasons owns the season when installed**, calendar and foliage color both; `mcw_seasonOwner` says who is deciding. `mcw_dayTicks` and `mcw_dayLength` keep the wind in phase when a season mod varies the day.
- **`/windlink heading`** turns the weather by hand. **Lily pads turn with the wind.**
- **Peaks blow harder** than a valley.

## 1.1.19
`MCWIND_PROVIDER_VERSION` **11500**, was 11400.
One new symbol: `mcw_occRegion`.
**WindLink still requires PlunderEngine `0.1.18`.** Nothing it calls moved the engine changed underneath it.
Both changes are engine-side - the occupancy producer and the header, both ship in `plunderengine`.
- **The occupancy window stops being a constant that the header and the atlas each hardcode.** `mcw_occRegion` publishes its width once a frame and the header reads it, so the volume can be resized while the game runs and every voxel read still lands in the right tile. A pack that never touches it sees the shipped 96 exactly as before, and `mcw_readVoxel` outside the window answers unknown as it always did. `/plunderengine occupancy window <blocks>` moves it, 16 to 384, snapped to whole chunks. **It does not save on restart.**
- **`mcw_readAir` answers `known = false` in the Nether, instead of answering "sealed".**
- **So `mcw_caveCalm` stops holding Nether foliage at its minimum.**

## 1.1.5
`MCWIND_PROVIDER_VERSION` **11200**, was 11100 in 0.1.14.
Minor bump. Symbols added, nothing you already call behaves differently.
- **`mcw_windAtFast` for raymarched fog.** A four argument form resolves the ground and flow reads once per ray. Sample the wind once per ray and march your own noise per step.
- **The Jacobian stopped differencing step functions.** Ground, wall and flow now read once through a new five argument `mcw_windAt` . Roughly a quarter of the texture reads. Reported from outside by **Koteinik**, thanks G.
- **The curl is analytic.** Built from the noise's gradients rather than differenced, so a quarter of the hashes and exactly divergence free instead of nearly.
- **Vines got eighteen dials and a fix.** Hanging plants are anchored at the ceiling. Upright vines now compute the inverse. Dial everything to your liking.
- **Strands feature got cut from WindLink** see mods like Grassier Grass for a comparable and arguably significantly better feature.
