## LATEST ADDITIONS ### TETHER ENTITY BLACKLIST SCREEN By using a paper, crouching then interacting with a wolf with a Link status will open a new screen that lists entities. Selected entities will be blacklisted, or will not be recorded or affected by the Tether Runestone when the wolf attacks said entities. --- ## FIX 1. Here's a quick introduction for the Runestones: ### GENESIS An item that can transport the soul to ∎∎∎∎∎∎∎. ### TETHER Now, even with hordes of zombies, your wolf companion will be able to deal damage on to multiple enemies at once. Experimental: Crouching and using it will recall all tamed wolves, including from different dimensions. ### EFFLORESCENCE When active, nearby crops grow faster and will bypass the light requirements, making mass production farming more efficient. ### HAVOC When active, your wolf companion will enhance your combat capabilities whenever an enemy lands a hit. > Check the Items Handbook for more information regarding the runestones!  ## LATEST ADDITIONS ### Nolayan Dimension (Experimental) "A world that fragmented itself to hide from the threats of the unknowns beyond..." ### Verdant Farmlands (Feature) While exploring the Verdant Biomes, you may come across a thriving farmland with no owner. ### Villager Trades Some entries have been updated to accound for new contents. ### Trust System (Mechanic) Re-introduced from earlier versions. Players may utilize this to establish companionship. When both players trust each other, accidental hits won't register therefore ignoring any damage. It is also being utilized by the Tether Runestone mechanic and wolf.  ## CHANGES ### Verdant Wind's Blessing Damage that exceed the player's or wolf's health will now trigger this skill. At low health: skill will trigger after every 3 seconds check. ### Wolf and baby wolves Updated the individual ID checking to a universal Family ID check instead. Old data will not work starting in this version. Utilized by multiple enchantment effects. ### Advancements Restructured to account for new contents. ### Wolf Armor Damage Distribution Restructure code so enchantment effects will still work regardless if this is turned on or not. ### Handbooks Updated entries to account for new contents and to make it easier to understand.  ## FIXES 1. Added a guard when using the Soul Runestone Plate to summon wolves. 2. Updated the method for Soul Runestone Plate to prevent failure in summoning. 3. Fixed the crafting issue for Verdant Spruce signs. 4. Fixed the missing text for the Verixium Fluid. 5. ## CRITICAL ISSUE FIX 1. Fixed a game crash when a player dies whilst having a Soul Runestone Plate and have wolf souls without a Benediction Stack. 2. Fixed a game crash when player dies with the following conditions: Totem of Undying on mainhand or offhand slot, have Soul Runestone, and death is caused by falling out of world. This means that the player with a totem of undying (in hand of offhand slot) will still die regardless if it has the Soul Runestone and the wolf soul(s) can revive the player.

## ITEM/BLOCK UPDATES ### Soul Runestone Plate (Updated) Most of its features are now implemented: Allow Revival by Proxy if one of the wolf souls within met the critera for revival. Each wolf added past the threshold (3) increases its likelihood of fragmenting. ### Features Handbook One of the hanbooks that can be requested through the /totvw command. ### Lodestone Wind Core (Updated) Added a new block model to achieve the intended look.  ## MECHANICS ### TP Methods The **Teleport After Revival** now have options in which you can decide how you or your wolf companion is teleported when triggering **Revival by Proxy**. As well as the option to teleport all nearby tamed wolves to you after you trigger said mechanic. ### Teleport After Revival (Updated) It will now check if the position of the taget location does not have a suffocating block. ### Revival by Proxy (Updated) With the introduction of the Soul Runestone Plate, a player can now be revived if they carry a wolf soul that have meet the following: 1. Benediction Stack of more than 1 2. Benediction of the Verdant Mountains enchantment is present 3. Share Benediction Stack is enabled  ## OTHERS Fixed some typos in the lore-related items. Added more for you to uncover :3  ## 1.0.35 PATCH NOTES I have made a few major changes on how the mod config works, especially on how it syncs with the server. It is recommended that you remove or delete the config file and allow the mod to recreate a new one. List of settings that now use the client's preference: **Benediction of the Verdant Mountains** - Low Health Threshold - Share Benediction Stack - Always Trigger Blessing - All settings that concern Teleport After Revival What this means for you: In multiplayer modes, previous versions follow a static config or setting set by the server which means you cannot change it. ## ITEM ADDITIONS You can now request for this mod's handbook through commands! At enchantment level 3 or higher, there is a small chance to break the Powder Snow when wolf is inside of it. ### Wolf ATK Effect: GNAWING Reworked how the effect extends to the wolf's owner. The owner will now be healed if it has any of the Protection enchantments and the heal strength will be based on what type of Protection. --- ## BLOCK UPDATES ### Lodestone Wind Core 1. The core will now drop Verixium Powder as residue when it is destroyed while it has remaining energy. 2. The random positive buffs' amplifier will now be affected by game difficulty. 3. When the core has more than 60000 wind energy and is active, its working range will be multiplied by 1.5. This will allow the core to grant buffs to wolves, players, etc. as well as debuff to enemies, at longer distances. However, any entities (except wolves) that are very close to the core without strong Protection enchantments will also be hit by its pulse. ### Verdant Moss You can now use bonemeal on this block. ### Verixium Fluid The "convert to source" is now a much slower process to match the intended behavior. --- ## ENTITY UPDATES ### Villagers Any Verdant type villager that has profession will now offer randomized discount every 24 minutes instead of just the Cleric. --- ## FIXES 1. Added a duration limiter for the Lodestone Wind Core when it grants an effect. 2. Fixed the notifier for Verdant Wind's Blessing to show who triggered it instead of just showing the cooldown.

## QUICK FIX --- ## TELEPORTATION ISSUE 1. Fixed a bug where wolf will simultaneously enter death and alive state, causing it to continuously play a red-tinted death shaking animation. 2. Fixed the calculation method for the Lodestone Wind Core to accurately show its remaining energy. --- ## CHANGES ### Teleportation method after revival through Benediction > After a player sets a respawn point using a bed, the player will be able to set a "Return Point" for wolf by right-clicking the wolf with any bed type. When the wolf dies and gets revived through Benediction Stack, wolf will try to teleport to the Return Point if the player is not accessible (in different dimension, not online, etc.). ### Wolf Enchantments > Certain enchantments will allow a tamed wolf with a baby wolf to share the effects granted by said enchantment. ### Atrocity Counter > An option is now available to hide the counter. Disabled by default. ### Lodestone Wind Core > Updated the texture to match the Verdant biome themes. ### Verdant Mountains > Updated the grass foliage color and removed the sky tint color.

## ENCHANTMENT ADDITIONS ### Mending (Vanilla) When your wolf has armor and has the Mending enchantment, when the armor has damage and wolf successfully inflicts a damage to a mob, a part of that damage will be used to repair the armor. If wolf also has the Benediction of the Verdant Mountains enchantment, it will make the repair process more efficient. --- ## BLOCK ADDITIONS  ### Lodestone Wind Core A block that can be obtained inside the Ancient Pillars that are found in Verdant Villages. Its core function is to buff nearby players and wolves while debuffing enemies and damaging them at intervals. > The core can be activated by Verixium Paper however, it still needs an energy source to properly function. Energy sources: <details> <summary>Spoiler</summary> 1. Wind Charge 2. Verixium Powder 3. and Verixium Powder Block (more will be added in the future) </details> When core is active: <details> <summary>Spoiler</summary> 1. While the core has remaining energy, it will continuosly consume it to run and the amount of energy consumed depends on what biome the block is in. 3. At random, the core will "pulse" and give random positive and negative effects to nearby mobs. 4. When the core has more than 2000 energy, it will convert nearby wolves and villagers (random single target selection) with a 3% chance. 5. Pressure Status: If a monster is nearby, the core will continously remove their internal pressure, giving them a Pressure Difference Point. The monster's chance of imploding will start to rise after their Pressure Difference Point reaches more than 100. When the monster implodes, the monster suffers a single instance of DMG equal to 30% of its total max health (current health if in Hard game difficulty). </details> ---  ### Verdant Spruce Storage Box A verdant version of the Vanilla Barrel block. While it costs more wood to craft, it offers more storage slot for your items. --- ## FEATURE ADDITIONS ### Benediction Stack When your wolf has an armor and has the Benediction of the Verdant Mountains enchantment, you may want to give them a Totem of Undying and it will be automatically converted into a **Benediction Stack**. Your wolf will automatically use it to revive themselves when they get knocked down. ### Revival By Proxy When a player dies and the following conditions are met: 1. **Share Benediction Stack is enabled** 2. Player has no Totem of Undying in their inventory 3. Player has tamed a wolf and is nearby 4. Wolf has more than 1 Benediction Stack The wolf will consume 1 stack to revive them. --- ## STRUCTURE ADDITIONS  ### Ancient Verdant Pillars While exploring the Verdant Biomes, you may come across a certain structure. Try going inside and see what loot you may find!  ### Undergound Command Post You may find these "resting posts" underground while mining within the Verdant biomes. Loot and treasure awaits! --- ## EXPERIMENTAL ### Atrocity Counter When a player hits a wolf or a villager, they gain an Atrocity point. If enough points are gained, certain features may restrict the player from accessing it. --- ## OTHER FIXES AND CHANGES 1. Added and orgranized the mod options > **Settings can be modified manually via the `tales-of-the-verdant-wind.json` file in your config folder or through [Mod Menu](https://modrinth.com/mod/modmenu).** 2. Fixed a generation issue where Fern, Short Grass, and Berry Bushes may replace a certain blocks for the Verdant Villages making them appear out of place. 3. Fixed the process where Wolves and Villagers might not actually get the Verdant Status when spawned within the Verdant biomes. 4. Baby wolves and baby villagers now inherit the Verdant Status if one of the parents carry said status. 5. TRUST SYSTEM has been removed due to complexity. (Might revisit in the future)
