# **🌙 MoonBorne 1.0-Beta.1**
This update marks a major transition for the mod. BloodMoon Enhanced is now MoonBorne, with a new identity, a completely redesigned configuration system, and a significant internal refactor.
## 🌙 New Identity — MoonBorne
BloodMoon Enhanced has officially been renamed to MoonBorne.
This is more than a simple name change. The mod is moving toward its own identity and expanding beyond the original BloodMoon concept.
- New Mod ID: moonborne
- New project name: MoonBorne
- Updated assets and translations
- Updated creative tab
- Updated item and entity identifiers
- Updated key mappings and localization
- Updated internal packages and references
⚠️ Important: Due to the Mod ID and registry changes, items obtained from previous versions may no longer exist after updating. If you have items from BloodMoon Enhanced in your world, they may be lost when upgrading to MoonBorne.
## ⚙️ Completely New Configuration System
##
The old Forge _ModConfig_ system and _.toml_ configuration have been completely removed.
MoonBorne now uses its own configuration system based on JSON.
Previous configuration:
config/bloodmoon-enhanced-common.toml
New configuration:
config/moonborne/moonborne.json
This change required a large internal refactor of how configuration is loaded, stored, modified, and applied at runtime.
## **🖥️ In-Game Configuration UI**
You no longer need to manually edit configuration files.
Press F8 by default to open the MoonBorne configuration menu.
The new configuration UI allows you to configure the features that were previously available through the TOML file, including:
- General settings
- Moon intervals
- Moon types
- Moon probabilities
- Horde settings
- Mob templates
- Mob effects
- Player effects
- Horde drops
- Mob Kill Actions
- Difficulty modifiers
- And more
The configuration interface will continue to expand as MoonBorne receives new features.
## 🔧 Major Internal Refactor
The new configuration system required substantial changes throughout the mod.
- Removed the old Forge ModConfig implementation
- Removed TOML-based configuration
- Added JSON-based configuration
- Added configuration state classes
- Added configuration serialization/deserialization
- Added runtime configuration reloading
- Added a new configuration management system
- Added multiple configuration screens and editors
- Reworked how configuration changes propagate through the mod
- Improved separation between configuration state and runtime state
This refactor also provides a much better foundation for future MoonBorne features.
### 🐛 Bug Fixes
A number of bugs discovered during development of the previous version have also been fixed.
- Fixed several configuration-related issues
- Fixed incorrect configuration values being applied at runtime
- Fixed various GUI and navigation issues
- Fixed several mob and horde-related issues
- Fixed miscellaneous gameplay and stability bugs
- Improved configuration handling and validation
### 🚧 Beta
MoonBorne is still in Beta.
The new configuration system is now the foundation for future development, and more content, mechanics, abilities, and configuration options are planned.
Welcome to MoonBorne. 🌙

# Bugfix version
1. The bug that prevented obtaining additional HP through the **"EXTRA_HP"** action of the perks once at least half a heart had already been obtained has been fixed. However, if you configured it to obtain 5 or more hearts, this was not noticeable.
2. Fixed the bug where the boss bar was out of sync at the start of the moon (due to the change in the start of the night)
3. Fixed a bug where, when you enabled **Last Stand** with the moon action or by casting the spell, and then experienced a server restart or closed the game, the ability would reset, forcing you to cast another one even if you hadn't used it. Now the state persists in the player's NBT and will no longer be lost with restarts, crashes, or even if you close the game.
4. Iron golem from the **"SPAWN GOLEM"** action, buffed on all 3 moons
Port to Fabric has started

Version 1.0.3 Alpha
# NEW SKILL - Wild Hunt
**Wild Hunt** is a new ability introduced in this version that will be improved over time.
It temporarily summons a pack of 4 spectral wolves to aid you in battle, automatically hunting nearby enemies.
Unlike Last Stand, this ability is manually activated; it doesn't activate automatically. It's activated by pressing **the right mouse button** and is not included in the moon actions (to be added).
Stats:
- Pack Duration: 15 seconds
- Cooldown: 45 seconds
- Number of Wolves: 4
- Wolf Health: Invulnerable
- DPS: 10 hearts
- Custom AI
- Faster than the vanilla wolf
This ability is released alongside the **New Item (Wild Hunt)**, which activates it.
Like Last Stand Spell, it won't have a recipe, so for now, it can only be obtained in Creative mode or by adding it as a drop on the moons.
It also doesn't have its own texture; details will be added later.
## Other Changes
1. The probability system for each moon has been reworked; it will now be based on weight, ranging from 0 to 100. Each of the three moons can have its own weight; the higher the weight, the greater the likelihood of being chosen. All three moons can have the same weight, in which case they will have the same probability (33.33%). Formula: p(moon) = weight of the moon / total weight
Added the following variables:
```
public static ForgeConfigSpec.DoubleValue crimsonMoonWeight; //rework
public static ForgeConfigSpec.DoubleValue cobaltMoonWeight; //rework
public static ForgeConfigSpec.DoubleValue purpleMoonWeight; //rework
public static ForgeConfigSpec.BooleanValue fixedDaysUntilSpecial; //rework
public static ForgeConfigSpec.BooleanValue rangedDaysUntilSpecial; //new
public static ForgeConfigSpec.IntValue minMoonIntervalDays; // new
public static ForgeConfigSpec.IntValue maxMoonIntervalDays; //new
```
2. Now you can choose between fixed days or a range of days where a random interval will be chosen for the next event
To use fixed days, activate
```
fixedDaysUntilSpecial = true
```
and use
```
moonIntervalDays = 1..60
```
Otherwise, activate
```
rangedDaysUntilSpecial = true
```
and use
```
minMoonIntervalDays = 1..60
maxMoonIntervalDays = 1..60
```
to define an range of random days until special
If both options are enabled (true), fixed will be chosen by default.
## **=Bug fix=**
Fixed bug that summoned a horde at the end of the moon
## Balance Change
The increased moon duration from 9.16 minutes to 9.58 minutes wasn't intended as a buff. It was discovered that during testing, a bug had occurred: bedtime wasn't actually triggering at 13,000 ticks, but rather around 12,550 ticks. Before this, the moon started at tick 13,000, giving a margin of about 25 seconds to skip nighttime and skip the moon. Consequently, activation now occurs at tick 12,500, and the duration was increased by 25 seconds.
## New commands
New debug commands added (used for testing)
### debug_roll
Simulate the action of randomly choosing the moon using the configuration you have assigned in the common
```
/moon debug_roll
```
### debug_rollNewIntervalDays
This simulates the process of obtaining the new day until the special post-moon event; this is useful for verifying the proper behavior of `rangedDaysUntilSpecial`.
```
/moon debug_rollNewIntervalDays
```
### getDaysUntilSpecial
You get the remaining days for the moon, and if there's 1 day left, it tells you the selected moon.
```
/moon getDaysUntilSpecial
```

# NEW ITEM
## Last Stand Spell
I've moved the Last Stand ability to a consumable item.
Unlike the ability obtainable on the moon, this one brings a bit of freedom.
1. You can use it on any normal day, once per use, indefinitely.
2. However, upon entering a moon, the same restrictions apply:
- You cannot consume another Last Spell if you have already used one during the event.
- If you already possessed a Last Stand from the Spell before the moon began, it counts as having been obtained; therefore, you cannot acquire any more, even if you kill mobs throughout the night.
3: Not stackable
4: It isn't craftable yet; that's coming soon.
5: The only way to get it is from the mod's new creative tab or by adding it as a potential drop in the horde configuration.
6: You will no longer lose the ability when the moon ends if you had an unused one.
**Get a second chance**; stay tuned for more updates.

## Changes:
-Previously, during any of the 3 moons, if you killed a mob you had a fixed probability of receiving a punishment that consisted of instant damage or a debuff effect, this made the Cobalt and Purple moons unplayable, as they weren't configurable.
Now, I've reworked everything and implemented a system of punishments and rewards.
How does it work?
- Since this version, a file called -mobkill.toml will be created.
This file contains the following parameters:
**-enable(Moon)Punishments: boolean**
**-enable(Moon)Benefits: boolean**
**-benefits list**
**-punishment list**
this for each moon
The file contains the documentation necessary to understand and execute the supported actions.
Actions can have two or three parts, consisting solely of **"ACTION:PARAM:CHANCE"**, where **"PARAM"** is optional if it's a summoning action or an ability. The final syntax is: **"ACTION:CHANCE"** in that case.
All of this is completely optional; it's up to you whether you want your event to include punishments and benefits, only punishments, or only benefits.
## Moon Warning
Before: the event is announced one day in advance
Now: you are notified at dawn on the day of the event (10 mins less)
## Common file
some balance changes to common file
## Bug fix and UI
When you obtain Last Stand, you will receive a message and a notification on top of your UHD
Several bug fixes
