# Create: Covered 1.1.0 — Forge 1.20.1
First Forge 1.20.1 release, bringing the features and fixes from Covered 1.1.0 to Create 6.0.8.
- Added persistent cover storage and multiplayer synchronization for Forge.
- Adapted rendering to Minecraft 1.20.1, including optional Embeddium 0.3.31 integration.
## Added
- Added covers for Fluid Pipes, Encased Fluid Pipes, Glass Fluid Pipes, Smart Fluid Pipes, Mechanical Pumps and Fluid Valves.
- Added project and bug report links to the mod metadata.
## Fixed
- Breaking a covered mechanism now returns its cover through normal block loot, including when broken by Create's automated machines.
- Covers are preserved when encasing shafts or converting between supported pipe types.
- Fixed cover synchronization during block conversions so clients receive the replacement block before its cover.
- Kept cover transfers separate from loot drops to avoid extra items during creative removal or contraption movement.
- Model wrapping and block colors now use the bundled coverable-block list, removing outdated Belt Tunnel entries.
## Notes
- Belt Tunnels remain excluded from cover support.
- Smart Fluid Pipe filters remain interactive while covered. Pump direction arrows and Glass Fluid Pipe fluid rendering are hidden by the cover.
- Block replacements that do not generate loot, such as commands, do not return cover items.

### Fixed
- Right-clicking a mechanism with the very block it is already covered with no longer eats a block from
the player's inventory on every click. The cover was silently re-applied each time, so a stack could
drain away with nothing on screen changing to explain it. Re-orienting a directional cover - clicking
again while facing a different way - still counts as a change and still works.
- Swapping a cover for a different block now returns the old cover to the player's inventory (or drops it
at the mechanism when the inventory is full) instead of destroying it. Only the new block is spent, the
same way removing the cover with Create's Wrench has given it back since 1.0.1.

### Added
- Holding Create's Wrench and pressing Alt outlines every covered mechanism within 24 blocks in green.
A cover is meant to be indistinguishable from an ordinary block, which otherwise leaves no way to tell
a covered shaft from the wall it is hiding in. Releasing Alt clears the outlines.
### Fixed
- Brackets attached to a mechanism were invisible. Create draws a bracket through the mechanism's static
block model rather than in the block-entity pass, and this mod's model wrapper never passed the model
data request down to the model it wrapped - so Create never got the chance to resolve which bracket was
attached, and its model then contributes no geometry at all. The bracket was really there the whole
time (breaking the mechanism returned it), it just had nothing to draw. This affected every block the
mod wraps, not only shafts, and any other model detail Create resolves the same way.
- Brackets, metal girders and casings can no longer be used as a cover, so right-clicking a mechanism
with one again does what Create means it to do - attach the bracket, encase the shaft - instead of
being swallowed as a camouflage.

### Added
- Sodium support. Covers are drawn through Sodium's own chunk-mesh pipeline exactly as they are through
vanilla's, including connected-texture covers (Athena, Fusion, Chipped, Rechiseled, ...) and covers
whose block draws in a different render pass than the mechanism, such as glass, leaves or iron bars.
### Fixed
- Covered mechanisms no longer flicker or Z-fight with their cover. The cover is now baked directly
into the chunk terrain mesh in place of the mechanism, instead of being drawn a second time every
frame in the block-entity pass, so there is only ever one surface at that position.
- Fixed covers flickering and showing a shifting shadow artifact when shaders (Iris/OptiFine) are
active. Because the cover is now ordinary terrain rather than a block entity, shaders light and
shadow it exactly like every surrounding block instead of through their separate block-entity pass.
- Preserved biome tint on covers that use a tinted block (grass, leaves, water, ...); they now take
their proper color in the terrain mesh instead of rendering flat/gray.
- Two adjacent covers that use a block which merges with itself, such as glass, no longer show a seam
where they meet: the shared faces were being culled against the mechanism's shape rather than the
cover's, so both got drawn.
- Fixed the coverable block tag failing to load entirely without Create: Encased, which left the mod
inert - no block coverable at all, not even Create's own. Its Create: Encased entries are now
optional. (1.0.3 claimed this fix but did not actually apply it.)
- Fixed a race that could corrupt a mechanism's stored cover or crash the client: simply reading whether
a mechanism was covered also wrote to it, and that read happens from several chunk-build threads at
once.
### Changed
- Reduced the cost of the connected-texture support, which previously inspected every neighbouring block
the chunk builder asked about rather than only the ones that can be covered.
### Known issues
- Covers do not render with ModernFix's `mixin.perf.dynamic_resources` option enabled. That option is off
by default in ModernFix; turn it off if you use this mod. Everything else, Sodium and Iris shaders
included, is unaffected.

and encased chain drives, across all of its casing materials).

### Fixed
- Covers using a connected-texture block (e.g. chiseled or CTM-style textures) no longer
render as isolated, bordered tiles when placed next to each other. Adjacent covers now
recognize one another and blend into a single connected surface, so a wall of covered
mechanisms reads as solid blocks rather than a row of separate machines.

### Fixed
- Shift+right-clicking a covered mechanism with Create's Wrench now returns the cover
block to the player's inventory (or drops it if the inventory is full) instead of
discarding it. The block was already correctly removed from the mechanism, but it
was never given back.
