Burnt + Additions 1.10.5.3
1.10.5.324 окт. 2026 г.895Minecraft: 1.21.1neoforge
Что нового
# Burnt — 1.10.5.3
- Much smaller download — 8.4 MB instead of 20.6 MB
- Terrain Slabs support: burnt, smouldering and recovering ground slabs
- Three new flags, and flags that survive Create contraptions on every version
- Better smoke from burning grass, and smoke that follows the wind
- Burnt blocks are now fragile in Sable on every version, not just NeoForge
- Living Wind support, and a fix for grass not spreading on a brand new world
## Terrain Slabs
- Burnt grass, burnt moss and burnt dirt slabs, plus smouldering grass, smouldering
moss and recovering grass slabs
- Half-height ground now burns and recovers exactly the way full blocks do
- Smouldering grass slabs catch, spread to their neighbours, and burn through to burnt
- Burnt grass slabs recover into recovering grass slabs, then back into living grass slabs
- Bonemeal works on them — burnt grass slabs green up instead of turning to dirt
- Recovering grass slabs are placed in a random rotation, like the full blocks
- They only show up in the creative tab when Terrain Slabs is installed
## Flags
On Forge and Fabric 1.21.1, flags now work the way they already did on NeoForge: the
cloth is drawn by the block itself rather than by a separate invisible entity. That
means a flag keeps flying when it is carried on a Create contraption or placed inside
a Sable sub-level, where the old version would lose its cloth.
Existing worlds are fine, but the leftover cloth entities from the old design are
dropped once on first load. The flags themselves are untouched.
Three new flags as well. All three craft like the existing ones — two sticks down the
left, the item top middle, wool filling the right:
- Creeper flag — lime wool and a creeper head
- Wilderness flag — yellow wool and a spruce sapling
- Fire flag — red wool and a campfire
## Smoke and flames
- Burning tall grass now gives off the same flame smoke as burning leaves, so it reads
properly from a distance instead of only up close
- That smoke no longer needs open sky above it, so tall grass burning under a forest
canopy smokes the way it should
- Smouldering grass now gives off light flame smoke as well as its flames
- Light flame smoke now drifts with the wind — it used to rise straight up regardless
- The heat fog over hot burnt ground is 50% larger
## LevelZ (Fabric only)
- Flint and steel now respects LevelZ skill gates when you use it on a block. LevelZ
checks the item but misses this case, so lighting fires got through unchecked
- Refusals now tell you what you need — "Smithing 4" — instead of silently doing nothing
- Works with both LevelZ 1.x and 2.x
## Living Wind
- Burnt now takes its wind from Living Wind when that is installed, so fire spread, smoke
and flags all follow its weather instead of Burnt simulating its own. It ranks above
Immersive Winds, Weather2 and Simple Clouds if you happen to run more than one
- Burnt's own particles keep their own movement. Living Wind pushes every particle in the
game, which blew smoke off the path Burnt sets for it and dragged flames sideways out of
the fires they belong to. Burnt now opts its particles out, so the wind is Living Wind's
and the movement is Burnt's
## Sable
- Burnt blocks now count as fragile on every version. The tag that marks them only
shipped on NeoForge 1.21.1 before, so on Forge, Fabric and both 1.20.1 versions
nothing Burnt made was ever fragile
- Burnt envelopes, sails, ferns, walls, vertical slabs, high grass and flesh blocks,
and ember walls and vertical slabs, now count as burnt along with everything else.
They are fragile in Sable, and fire no longer tries to burn them a second time
## Fixes
- Grass lit in the first minutes of a brand new world would not spread at all. Wind starts
at nothing on a new world and could take well over a minute to pick up, and grass spread
depends on it entirely, so there was nothing to carry the fire. New worlds now start with
a wind already blowing
- Your settings are now copied to burnt_basic.json.bak before the config is read. If the
config ever resets itself — a damaged file is enough, and it takes everything with it —
your old settings are in that file, and renaming it puts them back
- 18 blocks had no name and showed a raw id such as "block.burnt.burnt_envelope".
None of them are in the creative menu, so they only turn up by burning something,
which is why they went unnoticed: the Create sail and envelope blocks, burnt and
smouldering ferns, and the copper fire stages
## Download size
- Promo screenshots and source artwork are no longer packed inside the jar, which takes
it from 20.6 MB down to 8.4 MB. Nothing in game is affected
# Burnt Additions — 0.1.5
Ships with Burnt 1.10.5.3.
## New
- **Trinkets support** — the gas mask goes in the head/face slot on Fabric and filters smoke there
- **A mask slot of our own** — with Curios installed the gas mask gets a face slot without needing
another mod to provide one, so you can wear it and a helmet at once
- The creative tab now lists Burnt's blocks and items alongside Additions'
- New setting: **Toxic Smoke in the Nether** — turn it off to stop toxic smoke there only, and
leave it working everywhere else
## Changed
- The gas mask recipe takes a **leather helmet** instead of a netherite helmet
- Volcano vents make their own smoke — the same look and draw distance as a fire's, without the
flames and embers
- The mask slot has no show/hide toggle; the mask is always visible when worn
## Fixes
- **Choking no longer wears out your armour.** It was being treated as ordinary damage, so armour
took durability from it and could eventually break. Choking now goes straight past armour, the way
drowning does — which also means armour no longer softens it
- The gas mask was invisible when worn in a Curios or Trinkets slot. It now shows, and sits on your
head rather than around your middle
- Fixed the smouldering soul log's top animation asking for frames the texture doesn't have
release

## Burnt Basic
### Changes
- **Cracked terracotta is randomly rotated.** Each face has a different crack pattern, so walls
no longer look tiled. Applies whether you crack it with a pickaxe, burn it, or place it by hand.
- **Burn Spread settings now have proper names.** Wood Spread, Dark Oak Spread and Wood Downward
Spread were showing as raw text in the config screen.
### Fixes
- **Fire could be stacked on fire.** Clicking the top of a flame with flint and steel placed
another flame above it, so repeated clicks built a tower of fire. Fire now needs something solid
underneath, like it does in vanilla.
- **Distant fires were still being lit by lava with lava catch turned off.** A fire landing on the
stone or netherrack around a pool slipped past the check and spread from there.
- **Cracked terracotta dropped nothing.** The 16 coloured versions gave you no drop at all unless
you were holding silk touch. They now drop clay balls when mined normally and the block itself
with silk touch, matching plain cracked terracotta.
- **Cracked terracotta also dropped clay when it shouldn't.** Silk touch gave you the block *and* a
handful of clay. That was a second, hidden drop running on every break, which also handed out the
wrong colour's loot.
- **Flames in long-distance smoke floated above the fire.** They were being placed against a
scattered position rather than the burning block, so they hung up to three blocks too high. They
now sit in the block that's actually alight.
- **Pale oak doors had no icon.** The burnt and smouldering pale oak doors were missing their item
texture.
- **Chipped and other block-variant mods burned far too fast.** One block catching could take a
whole floor or wall in about a second. Modded wood now chars at the same gradual rate as vanilla
wood.
- **TerraFirmaCraft pit kilns burned themselves down.** Lighting one destroyed the kiln and lost the
fuel. Pit kilns, log piles, charcoal piles and forges are now left alone.
- **Misc tweaks and fixes**

## Burnt Additions
### New
- **Create compatibility.** A diving helmet with air left in the backtank keeps toxic smoke out, at
the cost of one air per second — the same rate Create charges for breathing underwater. An empty
tank is no protection.
- **Fracture Point compatibility.** The PMK-4 gas mask filters toxic smoke.
- **Curios support.** The gas mask can be worn in the Curios mask slot, so you can keep a helmet on
your head.
### Changes
- **Liquid magma is used up when it meets water.** The magma turns to hot basalt instead of the
water, so building land out into the sea now costs magma.
### Fixes
- **Fixed lag on world creation, modpack load and entering a world.** Caused by the wisp's search
for its soul clearing.
- **Fixed a startup crash on Forge 1.20.1.**

## New
- **Flares** in all 16 dye colours
- Recipe: X string X | paper dye paper | paper gunpowder paper
- Place, throw or
wire to redstone. Coloured smoke visible 256 blocks away, lights the area around it, burns a minute
- Flares in a dispenser make a redstone-controlled signal beacon, working through the whole load
- **Black Ice is now Soul Ice** — existing worlds and inventories convert themselves. Only soul fire
sets it off now, and it's craftable: a soul charge ringed with packed ice makes six
- **Sulphur trails climb steps** like redstone, and fire travels up and down them
- Hot springs, geysers and geothermal vents generate in Terralith's Yellowstone
## Changed
- **Molotovs no longer need flint and steel in your off-hand** — anywhere in your inventory will do
- Molotovs now set off blaze and tar barrels, and leave real flames on stone
- Dispensers light tar and sulphur trails with flint and steel, and pour liquid magma buckets
- Overworld volcanoes are much easier to find; Nether delta volcanoes now actually build
- Soul smoke honours Burnt's Smoke Density setting and its shared particle budget
## Fixes
- Flint bow light only ever worked on Fabric — it now works on Forge and NeoForge, and a lit match
gives off light too
- Water bottles, snowballs and the extinguisher now hurt Fire Devils on Forge and NeoForge
- Blaze barrels light with flint and steel, and no longer drop themselves after exploding
- Rain stick has a five second cooldown
- Fixed vents and volcanoes venting lava through the ground
# Burnt 1.10.5
- New smoke and fire mechanics
- Many optimisations
- Compats with Quark and Terralith added
## Fire spread
- Wood now burns and spreads much more slowly, so a house takes minutes rather than seconds
- Dark oak burns slower still than other woods
- Fire spreads downwards far less through planks, slabs, stairs, fences and gates — a roof fire no longer burns to the ground
- Same for logs, unless the log is a bare trunk, so single trees still burn all the way down and 2x2 trees are much harder to burn
- Lightning no longer starts fires by default
- New settings: Wood Spread, Dark Oak Spread, and a downward spread control
## Performance
- Far fewer smoke particles, with a new Smoke Density setting (defaults to 40%)
- Smoke now caps itself automatically so big fires thin out instead of dragging the frame rate down
- Collapsing blocks are limited to 20 per second, so burning buildings no longer cause lag spikes
- The collapse code does roughly a sixth of the work it used to
- Collapsing blocks no longer spray dropped items everywhere when they land awkwardly
## Ice and snow
- Ice now melts into water instead of just vanishing (it evaporates in the Nether, like vanilla)
- Fire now melts snow layers, snow blocks and powder snow
- Burning grass now melts the snow on top of it every time — it used to be random
## Claimed chunks
- Fire no longer burns inside or spreads into chunks claimed with FTB Chunks or Open Parties and Claims
- A block that was already burning when a chunk gets claimed now goes out instead of carrying on
- New setting to allow burning in claimed chunks if you want the old behaviour
- **New `/burnt noburn` command — mark any area as fire-free, no claim mod needed**
- `/burnt noburn here` protects the chunk you're standing in, from bedrock to sky
- `/burnt noburn add <corner> <corner>` protects any box you like — give the two corners in any order
- `/burnt noburn list`, `remove <number>` and `clear` to manage them
- Op-only, and the regions are saved with the world so they survive restarts
- Useful for spawn, shared builds, event arenas, museums, or any server that doesn't run a claim mod
- Works the same way the claim protection does: nothing catches fire, nothing spreads in, and anything already burning inside goes out
## Smoke and flames
- Smoke now disappears when it hits something solid instead of bunching up under ceilings
- Smoke still drifts up through leaves and fences, but glass stops it
- Smoke particles vary in brightness, giving plumes more depth
- Smoke lasts for a wider range of times, so it no longer all fades at the same height
- Flames are now visible at the base of distant fires
- "Distant Smoke" is now called "Distant Plumes" and is off by default
## Other mods
- **Cold Sweat**: burning and smouldering blocks now give off heat properly, with sensible levels — standing on smouldering grass warms you slowly rather than doing nothing
- **TerraFirmaCraft**: 141 plants now burn correctly, and supports now break instead of turning into logs
- **Nature's Spirit**: joshua logs now burn as small logs
- **Regions Unexplored**: barley now burns like tall grass
## New
- Bonemeal turns burnt grass into recovering grass, and recovering grass into grass — over an area, like bonemealing moss
- **The block mappings pack now ships with the mod and installs itself**
- On first run, Burnt drops an editable pack into `config/burnt/mappings/` called "Burnt Block Mappings"
- It's a normal datapack you can open and edit — 43 files, one per burn type, plus a README explaining each
- Use it to tell Burnt how blocks from other mods should burn: which ones become smouldering logs, which become planks, which just burn away
- It applies to every world, not just one save, so you set it up once
- Edits take effect with `/reload` — no restart needed
- It's only written if it isn't already there, so your changes are never overwritten. Delete it and it comes back fresh next launch
## Fixes
- Burnt wood walls now connect to each other properly
- Fixed a crash when a wall reached the ember stage
- Flint and steel now works in the rain when you're under cover
- Flint and steel now works properly with TerraFirmaCraft installed
- Stripped logs now turn into smouldering stripped logs, not stripped wood
- Recovering grass no longer renders with gaps
- Fixed missing textures that showed as pink and black blocks
## Note on settings
Settings only take their new default when they aren't already in your config file, so if you're
upgrading you'll keep your current values. Lightning and Distant Plumes are the exceptions — they
were renamed internally so their new "off" defaults do apply on upgrade.

# Burnt + Additions 1.10.5
## New
- **Flares** in all 16 dye colours
