# Vesper Wilds 0.0.30 **IMPORTANT: NEW DEPENDENCY!** Starting with 0.0.24, Vesper Wilds requires **GeckoLib 5.4.2 or higher** to run properly. --- ### New Features & Content * **New Hostile Mob: The Gloom Stalker!** A flying, bat-like predator that spawns exclusively within the Vesper Grove *(Note: currently using temporary textures and animations while in active development!)*. * **New Mechanic: Twilight Resonance!** The shadows empower you. While in a light level below 7, your mining speed is increased by 20% and your attack damage is increased by 2. * **New Event: Velvet Eclipse!** A dangerous new atmospheric event where Gloom Stalkers can spawn outside of the Vesper Grove, crop growth is completely halted, and the Twilight Resonance effect for Vesperite Tools is significantly enhanced. * **New Items:** Added the **Velvet Cloak** and **Velvet Fuzz**. * **Spawn Eggs:** Added spawn eggs for the Velvet Moth and Gloom Stalker to the creative menu. ### Changes & Tweaks * **Velvet Moth Overhaul:** Velvet Moths now drop the newly added **Velvet Fuzz** upon death. The old mechanic where they passively dropped string has been removed. * **Creative Menu:** Expanded and reorganized the Vesper Wilds Creative Tabs for better accessibility. * **Localization:** Added translation for the Vesper Tool Materials. ### Bug Fixes * Fixed a major file structure issue that was preventing **Vesper Wells** from generating in the world. * Fixed broken Block Tags associated with the Velvet Wood family. * Fixed various recipe inconsistencies within the Velvet Wood family. * Fixed a blast furnace recipe issue regarding Raw Vesperite. * Fixed an issue preventing the Velvet Fern from dropping its correct loot. * Fixed a bug where Vesperite Tools were missing their proper tool tags, causing them to interact incorrectly with certain blocks. * Fixed inconsistent namespacing within the codebase.

Very minor update: Updated the raw vesperite to be included in the #c:raw_materials/vesperite tag. Used to test the mod [Cambium](https://modrinth.com/mod/cambium/).

Some features will only be in temporary in this update, may change in the 0.0.25 update. - Added a new mob called the Velvet Moth! Spawns only in the Vesper Grove fairly common. - Added a new item, Moth in a Bottle. - Capture moths by right clicking with a bottle - Added new recipe for the Vesperite Lantern - Fixed that tools did not appear in the creative tab menu - Added new nugget type, Vesperite Nugget - The new structure, Vesper Well, has been added. - It is currently not spawning in the biomes, but the structure is there with the place command. - Velvet Moth occasionally "sheds" string, placeholder item until next big update.

# **Vesper Wilds Changelog - Versions 0.0.19 & 0.0.20** The latter update was pushed to github, but not released as a dsitributed mod. Showing changes for both versions here. ### Added - Vesperite Lantern: A new utility block that prevents hostile mobs from spawning within a 16-block radius. - Vesperite Tools: Added a full toolset (Pickaxe, Axe, Shovel, Sword, Hoe). - Stats: Slightly faster than Iron with similar durability and mining level. - Vesperite Ingot: New crafting material for Vesperite tools. - New Vegetation: Added Ember Shelf Fungus, Vesper Sprouts, and Velvet Fern. - Note: Ember Shelf Fungus emits a low light level to provide ambiance on Velvet Trees. - Vesper Stone Family: A new stone type exclusive to the Vesper Grove (currently replaces Tuff blob generation). - Note: Cobbled variant is disabled for now. - Datagen Support: Added new datagen files for the en_us language file to streamline localization. ### Changed - Biome Aesthetics: Adjusted the Vesper Grove grass color to match the purple/blue biome palette (replacing the standard green). - Leaf Physics: Fixed the falling leaf particles from Velvet Leaves; they now drift down slowly rather than falling too quickly. - Generation Fixes: Resolved an issue where Vesper Sprouts and Velvet Ferns would generate in the same block space. - Texture Fix: Updated the Vesper Sprouts model to resolve a null texture error. ### Removed - Glow Squids: Temporarily disabled spawning in the biome due to excessive spawn rates. - Vanilla Stones: Removed Granite, Diorite, and Andesite generation from the Vesper Grove to allow for cleaner underground development.

Added - New falling leaf texture Changes - Fixed the falling leaf texture of the Velvet Leaves to be a custom texture instead of the cherry leaves

Added - Textures for the Velvet door and trapdoor - Vesperite Ores have drops Changes - Backend changes to how recipes, tags, and loot tables are handled

This is the start of many versions of the mod! Please let me know what you would like to see in the future! Currently it only houses a plank family, minus door and trapdoor textures, a biome, a new ore only found in the new biome (no use quite yet), and custom trees!
