⚠️ Note:
This datapack/mod only works with Vanilla Backport 1.20.1-1.21.1 1.1.5 or later.
I’ll be adding support for more modded biomes over time. It still has a few inconsistencies that I’ll be fixing.
📖 About:
Vanilla Backport Compat is a datapack/mod that adds natural generation of Vanilla Backport’s leaf litters, wildflowers, fallen trees and more to modded biomes, no more having leaf litters in only three vanilla biomes in your 200 biomes modpack! In addition, leaf litters now generate in the Pale Garden biome.
I don’t feel the need to add features to certain biomes since they already generate them by default using the forge/fabric biome tags. However, if you have suggestions for adding or removing a feature from a biome in a way that would benefit it, feel free to let me know.

Vanilla Backport 1.2 added a ton of new content, and now it’s time to make it compatible with other mods.
- Zombie horsemen can now spawn in steppe, plains, and prairie type biomes from Biomes O’ Plenty, Nature’s Spirit, No Man’s Land, Still Life, WW Expanded Ecosphere and Neapolitan
- BOP thermal calcite and thermal calcite vent blocks can now be used as magma blocks to create geysers (1.21.1)
- Removed the leaf color file for BOP willow leaves, since they already have biome based color
- Nautiluses can now spawn in deep warm oceans from Spawn and Terralith and rocky reef biome from Regions Unexplored
- Red shrubs can now be placed on top of snow when using Snow! Real Magic!
- Backported unique leaf litter colors for Terralith biomes
Some Terralith biomes now have their respective leaf litter colors from the newer versions!
Red: forested highlands
Orange: temperate highlands
Purple: lavender valley, lavender forest, amethyst canyon, amethyst rainforest
Added unique leaf litter colors for some biomes from Biomes O’ Plenty, for now, only ominous woods and mystic grove

# Sulfur Cube Archetypes compatibility
Sulfur cubes can now consume dozens of new blocks from Biomes O' Plenty and Biomes We've Gone! These two mods are now fully compatible with sulfur cubes.
- Added all stone and sandstone variants to the slow bouncy archetype
- All ice variants from BWG have been added to the fast sliding archetype
- Added the thermal calcite vent block from BOP (1.21.1) to the hot archetype
- All BWG petal blocks have been added to the light archetype
- All dirt and grass variants have been added to the regular archetype
- Pumpkin variants (BWG) and flesh blocks (BOP) have been added to the fast flat archetype
- Added all mushroom block variants to the slow sliding archetype
Sand block variants were excluded to maintain consistency.
## Biomes We've Gone
More Biomes We've Gone leaves now generate falling leaves:
- Yucca Leaves
- Ripe Yucca Leaves
- Flowering Yucca Leaves
- Rainbow Eucalyptus Leaves
- Holly Leaves
