# Reverie 0.1.4 | Your First Dreams
This update introduces Dream Time, new ways to manage your space and inventory, and additional safeguards for returning safely from the Reverie.
## Dream Time and Drowsiness
- Added a personal Dream Time reserve that is only spent while inside the Reverie.
- Use Amethyst Shards on your Dreamweaver’s Bed to add more Dream Time.
- Remaining in the Reverie after running out of time now builds Drowsiness.
- Players with Drowsiness cannot re-enter until it wears off or is reduced by right clicking a Dreamweaver’s Bed with Phantom Membrane.
- Drowsiness counts down while the player is in the Overworld.
- Added warnings when Dream Time is running low and when Drowsiness begins.
- Added a status bar showing remaining Dream Time or accumulated Drowsiness.
- Removed the previous guest Amethyst entry fee and old overstay penalty.
## Starbound Beds
- Players can dedicate a Nether Star to their Dreamweaver’s Bed to become Starbound.
- Starbound players can store more Dream Time.
- Amethyst Shards provide more Dream Time to Starbound players.
- Starbound players accumulate Drowsiness more slowly and receive more relief from Phantom Membranes.
- Starbound status belongs to the player and remains when their bed is moved.
- Starbound beds now have visible effects and display their status through Jade.
## Do Not Disturb
- Added Do Not Disturb controls to the Recovery Compass menu.
- Players can create one temporary protected zone around their current location.
- Nearby players can be assigned Builder or Visitor roles.
- Visitors can explore but cannot place or break blocks, interact with the area, attack entities, or move items inside the protected zone.
- Overlapping zones prioritize the owner of the closest Dream Anchor.
- Owners can hold a Recovery Compass to view their zone’s center and radius.
- Visitors automatically see nearby restricted boundaries.
- Do Not Disturb turns off when its owner leaves the Reverie.
- It also turns off if the owner remains outside the zone for one minute by default.
- Servers can configure or disable the abandonment timer.
## Recovery Compass
- Expanded the destination menu with Do Not Disturb controls and nearby player roles.
- Saved Dream Anchors can now load their associated Dream Inventories.
- Recovery Compass destinations remain saved when awakening or replacing the compass.
- Reduced the Recovery Compass recipe from eight Echo Shards to two.
## Starting Inventories
- Servers can configure the items given to players who enter without a saved Dream Inventory or Dream Imprint.
- The Recovery Compass remains the default starting item.
- Blocked items remain prohibited from all starting inventories.
## Administration and Configuration
- Added commands for administrators to add or remove Dream Time from players.
- Added settings for starting time, Amethyst value, storage limits, warnings, Drowsiness, Starbound bonuses, status-bar visibility, starting items, and Do Not Disturb abandonment.
- Expanded `/reverie config` and `/reverie doctor` to report and validate the new settings.
## Advancements
- Added advancements introducing Dream Time, Starbound upgrades, and Do Not Disturb.
## Reliability
- Interrupted wake-ups and inventory recovery no longer trust saved player coordinates.
- Recovery now attempts to return players beside their Dreamweaver’s Bed, then falls back to their respawn location or world spawn.
- This protects players from being restored to invalid or extreme coordinates after an interrupted transition.
- Existing worlds retain their beds, anchors, inventories, bookmarks, and recovery data when updating.
Back up your world before installing the update.

# Reverie 0.1.3 | Your First Dreams
This update makes the Reverie easier to navigate, personalize, and understand while strengthening the systems that protect player inventories and shared dreams.
## Recovery Compass and Dream Navigation
- Added a destination menu to the Recovery Compass.
- Use a Recovery Compass on another Dreamweaver's Bed to save or remove it as a destination.
- Saved beds remain available after awakening or replacing the Recovery Compass.
- Destroying a saved bed removes it from the destination list.
- Added personal Dream Bookmarks. Use a renamed Name Tag on a location in the Reverie to save it as a Compass destination.
- Unsafe, missing, unloaded, and obstructed destinations cannot be used.
- Players entering without a saved Dream Inventory or Dream Imprint receive a Recovery Compass.
- Updated the destination menu and related messages to consistently use the Dreamweaver's Bed name.
- Existing destinations using the old Dream Bed label are updated automatically.
## Dream Imprints and Inventories
- Added Dream Imprints for temporary dreams.
- Use a Book on a temporary Dreamweaver's Bed to save the current inventory as the starting inventory for future temporary dreams.
- The Book used to create the Dream Imprint is not included in the saved inventory.
- Replacing or erasing a Dream Imprint requires confirmation.
- Dream Imprints are only used by non-anchored beds. Dream Anchors continue using their own saved Dream Inventories.
- Restricted items are removed from Dream Imprints and Dream Inventories, including supported Curios, Accessories, and cosmetic slots.
- Fixed timed awakening so the restored Survival inventory cannot be affected by the Reverie's item restrictions.
- Restored waking status effects are now preserved.
## Dream Anchors
- Dream Anchors can now be named with renamed Name Tags.
- Anchor names appear in Jade, overlap warnings, and Overworld bed information.
- Only the bed owner or an administrator can rename a Dream Anchor.
- Creating an overlapping Dream Anchor now requires confirmation.
- When anchor regions overlap, the closest Dream Anchor to the entered Overworld bed controls both the arrival location and saved Dream Inventory.
- Holding a Dreamweaver's Bed in the Overworld now identifies the Dream Anchor serving that location.
- Unnamed anchors are identified by their coordinates.
- Corrected arrival height for Dreamweaver's Beds moved vertically within the Reverie.
- Improved ownership records so beds at matching coordinates in different dimensions cannot interfere with each other.
## Personal Lighting
- Clock lighting previews are now personal and do not change the lighting for other players.
- Right-click a Clock to cycle through the Reverie's lighting presets.
- Sneak-right-click a Clock to return to the Reverie's normal lighting.
- Lighting feedback now shows concise preset names.
- Fixed Reverie lighting briefly changing when pausing or unpausing the game.
- Reverie lighting is now protected from unrelated world-time updates.
## Shared Dreams and Safety
- Guest countdowns now show whose shared dream is closing and how much time remains.
- Added an automatic warning when the Overworld bed is missing or no longer has a safe waking location.
- Added configurable automatic safety checks for active inventory backups and waking beds.
- Automatic bed checks no longer load distant Overworld chunks.
- Added persistent recovery history for administrators.
- Added `/reverie recovery history <player>`.
- Temporary session, lighting, confirmation, and cleanup data is now cleared when players disconnect or the server stops.
## Jade, Guidance, and Advancements

- Updated Jade's Figment count to match the cage's actual limit.
- Added contextual instructions for Books, Clocks, Recovery Compasses, and Name Tags while inside the Reverie.
- Added a Reverie creative tab containing the items used by the mod.
- Added advancements for creating a Dream Imprint, previewing lighting, saving a bed, traveling with the Recovery Compass, and naming a Dream Anchor.
## Administration and Reliability
- Expanded `/reverie doctor` with additional active-session and automatic safety checks.
- Updated configuration reporting for the new safety options.
- Added clearer command aliases for managing blocked items and permitted mobs while keeping the existing commands available.
- Preserved administrator mob restrictions across server restarts.
- Improved bookmark limits, naming, selection, and persistence between dreams.
- Improved destination checks to prevent travel to unsafe locations.
- Changed large loaded-area cleanups to process gradually instead of stalling a server tick.
- Improved Figment Cage guidance and limited instant mob cleanup to player attacks.
Back up your world before updating. Jade and JEI support remain optional.

This update focuses on protecting player progress, making shared beds easier to manage, and giving players clearer information both inside and outside the Reverie.
## Inventory Recovery
- Added owner-only inventory recovery through the Dreamweaver's Bed.
- If an interrupted transition leaves a valid recovery backup behind, the bed owner can sneak-use their bed with an empty hand to begin recovery.
- Recovery requires a second confirmation and closes the backup after restoration to prevent item duplication.
- Added configurable void recovery. Falling into the void can awaken the player, return them to their Reverie bed, or use the disabled behavior selected by the server.
## Bed Access and Shared Dreams
- Reverie arrival beds now inherit the waking bed owner's claim.
- Creating a Dream Anchor claims an unowned bed, and that ownership remains attached if the anchor is broken and picked up.
- Added administrator controls for default, private, and public bed access.
- Added commands for inviting players to beds and assigning temporary hosts.
- Existing owner-first entry rules remain the default.
- Added configurable notifications when guests enter or leave a shared dream.

## Player Information and Mod Support
- Added optional Jade support for inspecting Dreamweaver's Beds.
- Jade displays bed ownership, occupancy, capacity, access rules, and Dream Anchor status.
- Reverie-side beds now show the same live Jade occupancy and access information as their linked Overworld beds.
- Jade hides ordinary default and temporary states, keeping special access rules and Anchored Bed status easy to spot.
- Added optional JEI information pages for Dreamweaver's Beds and Figment Cages.
- JEI explains that guests normally need the owner to enter first and must offer an Amethyst Shard.
- Recovery Compasses carried inside the Reverie point toward the player's linked bed.
- Sneak-using a Recovery Compass safely returns the player to that bed.
- Recovery Compasses return to their normal last-death behavior outside the Reverie.
## Accessibility and Feedback
- Added a reduced-particle option for players who prefer quieter visual effects.
- Added translated player-facing messages for the new recovery, access, notification, and safety features.
- Added an advancement for remaining in the Reverie beyond its configured warning.
## Administration and Diagnostics
- Expanded `/reverie doctor` with checks for active sessions, recovery safety, optional integrations, bed access overrides, notifications, and audit status.
- Added concise audit records for entering, awakening, player recovery, forced awakening, administrative recovery, bed ownership, permissions, invitations, and temporary host changes.
Back up your world before updating. Jade and JEI support are optional and do not need to be installed for Reverie to run.
