# v2.5-beta.2 The Visual Revolution **From v2.3 to v2.5: a new look, better atmosphere, and more control over how you play.** v2.3 laid the foundation. v2.5 builds on it with more natural colors, refined weather, improved water detail, and a new quality preset system. The goal: a beautiful world with settings that fit your PC. ## A fresh look - **Natural colors:** calmer greens, softer sunlight, and less washed-out daylight. - **Refined water:** corrected reflection normals, filtered fine waves, and calmer distant detail. - **Better atmosphere:** subtler rain, darker overcast skies, and reduced horizon haze. - **More depth on Ultra:** contact-soft shadows, ambient occlusion, and subtle backlit foliage.
