🌟 Overview
Ever felt like vanilla's endgame runs out of things to chase? Zenith Protocol turns boss-farming into an economy and superpowers into a deeply customizable class system. Mix and match 25 Gem paths and 90+ abilities to build the ultimate superhero — call down Orbital Strikes, bend Gravity, wield Ancient Runic magic, or assimilate the DNA of the world's creatures.
🧭 New — The Path to Zenith Questline
Not sure where to start? A built-in 35-quest, 7-chapter questline (open the 🎯 Quests screen from your loadout) walks you through the whole mod — from your first Ancient Token and Power Gem all the way to Zenith mastery. No wiki required.
💎 Getting Started
Powers are earned, not dug up:
- Ancient Tokens are the master currency — from the Warden, Wither, Ender Dragon, and the mod's own Champions.
- Blank Power Gems unlock your potential to absorb powers — found in Ancient Cities / End Cities, or bought.
- The Gem Trader: place a Block of Amethyst by an unemployed Villager to hire a gem dealer.
- The Gamble: buy Unidentified Geodes to roll for a random Power Gem.
- Zenith Forge & Infusion: infuse gems, socket them into armor & weapons, and awaken netherite gear into unique artifacts.
⚔️ Champions & Elites
Hostile mobs can spawn as glowing, named, element-themed Champions — and rarer Elites that arrive with a matching retinue of bodyguards. They scale to your power, hit hard, and drop Ancient Tokens + loot. (And no, you can't cheese them from the air — they'll come to you.)
🏭 Build an Economy
A full progression of automated machines and structures: Slime, Gold, Iron, Blaze, Froglight, Shulker, Guardian & Bartering farms, the Wither Slayer, the Quantum Quarry, the Experience Obelisk, the Sentinel Nexus (keep an area mob-free), and the Arena — an Arena Core opens a powers-enabled PvP zone, with a survival-craftable Arena Leaderboard.
⚙️ Core Systems
- 25 Gem paths — Fire, Lightning, Frost, Time, Ender, Gravity, Force (Jedi), Flora & more.
- 90 Active Abilities across combat, utility, mobility and team support.
- Custom UIs — press R for the Loadout Manager: equip 10 actives, manage passives/cores, with a live cooldown/toggle HUD.
- Mastery System — using abilities earns points; hit 1,000 to Master a gem for permanent buffs + an ultimate.
- Adaptive difficulty — mobs scale to your unlocked power, with a cushion that keeps it fair for newcomers.
🚀 Spotlight Mechanics
- Smart Dimension Hopping (Ender): rift to the Nether (stand) or End (sneak) — finds a safe landing and remembers your base.
- DNA Assimilation (Druid): scan mobs (H) and shift into their aspect — Enderman teleport, Spider climb, Creeper detonation…
- Deflection Stance (Jedi): auto-deflect arrows, fireballs, and tridents back at attackers.
🤝 Multiplayer & Team Synergy
A built-in Team Manager — friendly-fire protection on AoE, team heals, Sanctuary Domes, and Guardian rescue-teleports.
👑 The Zenith Protocol
Collect and imprint all 25 Power Gems to trigger the Zenith Protocol: a permanent 15% cooldown reduction to every ability, permanent resistance buffs, and a cosmetic demigod aura.

## 1.1.28
### New — Server Rules system
- Server rules now appear on join as a **full-screen banner + chat list**, with an optional **accept-gate** that holds a player (Slowness, can't break/use blocks) until they type `/rules accept`. Existing players are caught on their first login after this update, not just brand-new ones.
- Rules are fully **configurable** in `superpowers_config.json` (`serverRules` list, header text, enable / require-accept toggles).
- Acceptance is **versioned**: bump `rulesVersion` after editing your rules and every player re-accepts on next login.
### New — Bigger on-screen notifications
- **Mastery unlocks** now show as a full-screen title instead of just a chat line.
- Entering / leaving a **PvP Arena** shows a big `PVP ZONE` / `SAFE ZONE` title. Arenas can be **named** — anvil-rename the Arena Core before placing, or right-click a placed core with a renamed Name Tag — and the title shows your custom name.
### Fixes
- **Experience Obelisk, Arena Core, Arena Leaderboard and Ward Block** can now be mined with a pickaxe and actually drop (they previously mined at hand-speed and dropped nothing).
- **Bosses** (Warden, Wither, Ender Dragon, Elder Guardian) can no longer be picked up by Colossal Toss or held by Force Grip — closes the "hold a Warden overhead and safely kill it" cheese.
- Breaking an **Arena Leaderboard** no longer leaves its floating text behind.

## 1.1.27 — Hydra Shicken Gear + Bounty Board 🐉🛡️⚒️
### ⚠️ New required dependency: GeckoLib
This version adds **GeckoLib** as a required dependency (it powers the new 3D armour). Your launcher should install it automatically with the mod — if you add jars by hand, grab **GeckoLib 4.7.3 or newer** for Fabric 1.21.1.
### New — Hydra Shicken Armour (fully 3D!)
The first 3D-modelled armour set in the mod, forged from the Baby Shicken line.
- **Craft** each piece from Netherite + a Baby Shicken Core, in the standard armour shapes.
- **Tougher than Netherite** — protection 5 / 10 / 8 / 5 and toughness 5.0, plus **unbreakable** and highly enchantable.
- **Infuse** a piece at a **Gem Infusion Table** (with a Blank Power Gem) to unlock **3 gem sockets** *and* **+3 armour per piece**. Socket a **Fire** gem for Molten Thorns (burns attackers), or **Frost** for a Chilling Aura (slows and weakens them).
- **Set bonus:** wear the full set and **Baby Shickens turn passive** — they'll leave you alone.
### New — Hydra Shicken tools & shield
- **Hydra Shicken Hammer** — mines a **3×3, 5×5, or 7×7** area at once (Sneak + Right-Click to switch sizes), with a live outline showing the target area. Unbreakable, high enchantability.
- **Hydra Shicken Paxel** — pickaxe + axe + shovel in one, all mining at full Netherite speed. Unbreakable.
- **Hydra Shicken Shield** — Hydra Thorns retaliation, carrying a Curse of Gluttony.
- Each of these has an **Awakened** Zenith Forge upgrade with 3 gem sockets.
### New — Bounty Board
A renewable **bounty system**: accept per-player bounties from the board, track live progress on a left-side HUD, and claim pooled per-tier payouts. Includes a Targets legend with real mob-face icons and reroll support. The board (and the Arena Core / Leaderboard) are now protected from non-admin breaking.
### Fixes & tuning
- **Unidentified Geode** now correctly delivers your gem when opening your last (or only) geode.
- **Custom armour and mining tools are now properly enchantable** at the enchanting table (fixed missing enchantment tags — Protection, Efficiency, Unbreaking, Mending, and more).
- **Druid Morph** hardened against invalid DNA scans.
- **Experience Obelisk** now drops itself when broken.
- **Baby Shicken** curse chances lowered (1% base / 5% awakened).
- **Guide book** overhaul — hub landing page, cleaner tabs, and a new Custom Gear index.
Built and tested against **Minecraft 1.21.1** (Fabric) — 50 in-world tests passing.

## 1.1.26
**New — Ward block (area protection)**
- Place a Ward to protect a full-height square area; right-click cycles the radius **8 → 16 → 32 → 64 → 128**.
- **Per-player permissions** — a public default *plus* per-player grants. Independently allow specific players to **break**, **place**, **interact**, and/or **use powers** (e.g. one friend can build, another can only open doors).
- **Disable superpowers** inside the radius (temporary and positional — nothing is removed; abilities work again the moment a player steps outside).
- **Settings GUI** (sneak-right-click) with a Public row + per-player toggles, and commands: `/ward public|set|clear|radius|info`.
- The block is **invisible** to everyone; the **owner** sees a rainbow outline marking where it sits. No collision.
**Fix — Druid morph**
- Other players now actually **see** your Druid transformation — the disguise was previously only rendered on your own screen.
Built and tested against **Minecraft 1.21.1** (Fabric).

**New — Baby Shicken Mace**
- A real mace (smash attack) with a signature **Deadly Tongue**: on hit, its tongues lash out and reel nearby hostiles toward you.
- Enchantable, and Zenith-Forge upgradeable into the awakened **Zenith Shicken Maul** (adds gem sockets).
- Attack damage: mace **10**, awakened **15**. Craft: Shicken Core (top) + 2 Netherite Ingots + 2 Breeze Rods.
**New — Neon Glass**
- Glowing translucent glass in all **16 dye colours**, with a nested inner core for a denser, glowing "neon" look.
- Craft **8** from a ring of 8 matching stained glass around 1 glowstone dust.
**Baby Shicken changes**
- The swallow-whole kill **no longer destroys your armour**.
- Arrows now **scale by range**: up close they hit full, but plinking from afar only chips it — and that feeds the Hydra, so it **multiplies** instead of dying. Get in close to actually kill one.
- Golden Baby Shicken Feather drop rate **10% → 5%**.
**Fixes**
- The enchanting table now works on the custom Shicken weapons (Baby Shicken Mace + Hydra Shicken Sword).
Built and tested against **Minecraft 1.21.1** (Fabric).

### ✨ Path to Zenith — new questline
A 35-quest, 7-chapter guided progression on its own **🎯 Quests** screen (on the loadout hub) that walks you through the whole mod, from your first Power Gem to Zenith mastery. Fully self-contained — no extra mods required.
### 🐔 Baby Shicken Core progression
- Baby Shickens now have a **10% chance to drop a Golden Baby Shicken Feather**.
- Craft a **Baby Shicken Core** by surrounding the feather with 8 Netherite Ingots or Nether Stars.
- The **Hydra Shicken Sword** is now built from the Core (Diamond Block + Baby Shicken Core + Breeze Rod).
### 🛡️ Champion overhaul
- **Randomized themed names** for Champions & Elites (e.g. *Baron Ashwhisker the Infernal*); Elite bodyguards now share their Elite's surname and element (*Frostbane Sentinel*).
- **Anti-cheese:** Champions can no longer be cheesed by hovering above them and shooting — while you kite them from the air they shrug off projectiles and blink to you.
### ⚖️ Dynamic difficulty now covers every hostile
Gem-based scaling now applies to **all** hostile mobs — slimes, magma cubes, ghasts, phantoms, shulkers and hoglins included, not just the usual ones.
### 🏆 Arena Leaderboard — now survival-craftable
### 🐛 Fixes
- **Unidentified Geodes** now actually give you the rolled gem (they previously announced a gem but delivered nothing).
- Fixed a broken `wither_immune` block-tag reference.

- Added a Scoreboard block that tracks PVP battles and displays the most wins. (Multi-block can grow with more scoreboard blocks)
