StageCam is a client-side Fabric mod that opens a second window dedicated entirely to camera angles. It's built for content creators who want live camera cuts in OBS without setting up complex camera accounts or third-party tools.
Once you load into a world, the second window pops up automatically. Just select it as a Window Capture source in OBS and you're good to go.
How to use it
You set up camera spots around your world and map them to your Numpad. You play normally in your main window, while the second window renders the clean camera output.
What it does
Fixed Cameras
- Save up to 9 cameras per set using
/setcam <slot> <set> <name> - Swap between slots instantly with Numpad 1 through 9
- Your saved spots stay saved when you close the game
- Organise or clean them up using
/listcams,/listcams-s <set>,/delcam <1-9>, and/renamecam <1-9> <name>
Camera Sets
- Create as many sets as you need for different builds, rooms, or scenes
- Every set gets its own 9 slots
- Scroll through sets using Page Up and Page Down
- Your current set stays visible on the HUD
The Extra Window
- Opens on world load and runs the live feed
- Native resolution, fully resizable
- Keeps footage completely clean: hides HUD, hotbar, chat, inventory, and block outlines
- Disables screen shake, sprint zoom, and view bobbing
- Keeps the window title updated with the current camera name (e.g.
StageCam — S1 · bedroom)
Follow Modes Cycle through these with Numpad ,:
- Handheld: Places the camera 2 blocks in front of you with a slight, natural camera movement
- Ego: Straight first-person view, minus the UI elements
- Press again to turn it off
Player Tracking
- Hit Numpad / while on a fixed camera
- The camera stays put, but smoothly rotates to track your player as you move around
- No harsh snapping
- Works together with zoom
Zoom
- Zoom in with Numpad +, zoom out with Numpad -
- Smooth steps from 10° up to 110° FOV
- Works across all modes, shows the current value in the HUD, and resets when you close the camera
Visual Aids & Feedback
- Markers: Wireframe boxes show where your cameras are placed (visible through walls, but only in your main window)
- HUD Overlay: Small indicator in the top-right corner shows active set, name, zoom, and mode (Blue = Fixed, Green = Handheld, Red = Ego)
- Audio: Quick click sound plays when you swap cameras or sets

Shader Issues
StageCam works with shaders, but dual rendering can break a couple of specific post-processing effects:
- Bloom can bleed around character models.
- TAA can cause weird ghosting.
If you see these issues, turn Bloom and TAA off in your shader settings. If Iris is installed, the mod will drop a warning in chat when you join.
Requirements & Performance
- Minecraft 1.21.1 to 1.21.4
- Fabric Loader & Fabric API
- Client-side only — works fine on vanilla servers.
- Alpha note: Expect occasional bugs. Because the game has to render the scene twice every frame, performance will depend on your graphics card.
