An Immersive Horror Minecraft Mod for Fabric 1.21.1

A preview of the mod's events

Trapped in the world you made, by the decisions you made, trying to claw their way out by any means necessary... you monster.

Split Self is an immersive horror Minecraft mod aimed towards an alternate version of yourself — one that was left behind by you. They will interact with your world, and other things, in ways they think will let them out of their created cage. They will break worlds, try to kill you, and personally speak to you. It doesn’t want to interact with your character. It wants to interact with you. So let them take control, let them take back the life you stole. After all, it was you who did this to them in the first place.

Your choices matter. Your actions have consequences. And now… they want out. This will only end once they are finally free.

All you need to let them do is take their life back.

🚨 WARNINGS

This mod has flashing lights! If you have past experience with seizures or are unsure if you are epileptic, I recommended you do NOT play this mod.

This mod may flag your antivirus, and some events may not run properly. It is your choice if you want to disable your antivirus.

This mod will interact with your device, OUTSIDE OF THE GAME!

No damage will be done to your PC.
All changes are easily reversible and used solely to heighten immersion.

📦 Installation

  1. Download the mod. (obviously, lol)
  2. Install the Fabric Loader for Minecraft 1.21.1
  3. Download the Fabric API
  4. Add both the Fabric API and Split Self to your mods folder
  5. Launch Minecraft

## ADDED: - Added 24 new events - You heard that right, 24. - It would have been 23 but I refused to have 67 events in my mod. - Added 2 endings - Added new dimensions - Added downloadable safe version (less to none PC interactions) - Added full multiplayer support (use Essential) - Added a couple conditioned events - Added memories - Added 95% completed Mac OS support - Added a search filter to the config menu - Updated Shriek support to remove logging issues - Probably a lot more stuff that I forgot to write down ## CHANGED: - Changed sleep detection for sleep events to better work with other mods - Changed the MINE event to have a surface entrance - Reworked world data tracking and game configuration - There is a known issue where if you play with an old config in this version, the mod will not play events naturally. You can check if this is happening to you by looking in the in game config and seeing if event weights is empty. If it is, delete your config and restart. ## FIXED: - Fixed .txt files generating on the desktop in Linux - Fixed a crash when an event played while the player was dead - Fixed an item duplication glitch with the LIFT and SURROUND events - Again I forgot to write stuff down ## REMOVED: To comply with Modrinth, the BROWSER event, as well as a WebSocket used to troll people with, has been removed. Alpha versions from 0.3.0 onwards have also been removed due to a vulnerability.
