/ ANNOUNCEMENT \ As Der's Shaded Font 16x & 32x are passing a combined **100,000** downloads across both platforms, it has been expanded into a trilogy! Starting with this update, Der's Shaded Font 64x is now available for download on [CurseForge](https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/texture-packs/sharp-shaded-font) & [Modrinth](https://modrinth.com/resourcepack/sharp-shaded-font) and will receive syncronized updates! \ END OF ANNOUNCEMENT / Update v21 - All In One: - Expanded legacy style option to now include all of v9.2's legacy styles (some newer features may not be supported), re-implemented: gray, rose, mint & opal shading styles - Fixed Wynncraft option being disabled by default while Respackopts is installed - Fixed Wynncraft font overrides not applying correctly in some cases - Added legacy shading styles support for Wynncraft font overrides - Removed unused config presets as they were previously unavailable either way due to pack config compatibility reasons - Changed word spacing option to be a slider (0-8px) rather than normal/narrow only - Added additional information to affected config entries that have seen changes - Fixed inconsistencies on some config entry tooltips - Resolved log warning messages regarding custom font providers by moving related files out of the font provider directory, there should be no more log warnings as long as default settings are kept (Thanks, Hiveko!) - Resolved log errors in v21 testing if Respackopts and YetAnotherConfigLib, SkyBlocker or similar mods with custom config systems are present by rewriting most of the Respackopts file-swapping logic - Added experimental support for 26.3

Update v20 - Cleanup III: This release addresses a compatibility issue with the Big Sign Writer Mod (https://modrinth.com/mod/bigsignwriter) along with some config changes. - Fixed an issue that caused warped text when trying to use unicode fonts from the Big Sign Writer Mod. (Thank you, anonymous bug reporter!) As a result of fixing the issue, the following unicode glyphs are no longer affected by the pack, with many of them being shape-like glyphs that would have had their shading removed eventually: 2500-259f, 25ae, 25da, 25db, 25e2, 25e3, fe20-fe4f, 2070-209f, 2768, 2769, 208d, 208e, 203e, 3000, 21c2, 23b2, 23b3, 25f9, 25fa, 29f6, 1732, 1753, a94f, 275f, 2981 Note that the above codepoints had to be manually researched and disabled, minor oversights are possible. A select few of the mod's fonts re-using common glyphs like commas is not fixable by this pack. - A few filled-circled numbers have had their shading removed as a design choice (2776-277f, 278a-2793) as well as six miscellaneous symbols (262f, 2051, 2610-2612, 25c6). Config changes: - Server-related settings have been grouped into a new "Servers" category - Replaced "Apply several glyph size fixes" with "Use corresponding glyph definitions" - Some fixes previously included in "Apply several glyph size fixes" have been made seperate non-default settings - Updated information on some config entries, including previously missing requirements

v19.1 - Performance Patch: Fixed some oversights from v19 testing which only affect the 32x version. - Fixed outdated version coloring in config menu - Removed unnecessary capabilities from Respackopts config (this improves performance!)

Update v19 - Color Setting + Slight improvements to config menu tooltips (Respackopts) + Added new non-default configuration option: "Extra » Force default text colors", letting you override other (forced server) resourcepack's text color changes back to default text colors. Intended for Hypixel SkyBlock, 1.21.11+.

Update v18: Custom Config The biggest (technical) update so far. Now features a custom configuration screen powered by Respackopts (optional). Uses default settings without it. Additions & Fixes - Added Respackopts pack configuration screen - Added fix for Hypixel bazaar graphs - Added v13-legacy font files & pack icon for config - Applied v14-v16 fixes to v13-legacy font files - Added narrow space variant for config - Added overridden unicode font variant for config - Tweaked description in resourcepack screen to fit Respackopts button - Updated Hypixel Skyblock Wiki reference in credits.txt to mention the new wiki Configuration (*indicates a default setting) - Use individual parts of the main font* - Use shaded unicode font* - Use several glyph size fixes* - Use main font on Wynncraft items* - Use shaded enchanting particles* - Use legacy shading & pack icon - Override forced unicode font (ex. Patchouli books) - Use narrow spacing Ensure to load the pack first before configuring it, this will show you additional information for each config option.

Update variant v17B - Backport: - Backport of v17 to older game versions, making the current shading style finally accessible for those Since not much demand for this variant is expected, not all fixes were backported, but anything up to v12, including shaded unicode font, is backported plus v17's shaded enchanting particles.

Update v17 - Enchanted: - Enchanting particles now match enchanting table's shaded glyphs - Readded shaded illager glyphs in case someone has a use for them - Also works on 26.2+ as most recent releases

Update v16 - Cleanup II: - Fixed a double-struck issue (see Q&A #5): ✓ 2713 (borrows from ✔ 2714) - Shading removed for better visibility: ░ 2591, ▒ 2592, ▓ 2593, ⚀ 2680, ⚁ 2681, ⚂ 2682, ⚃ 2683, ⚄ 2684, ⚅ 2685 - Removed asciillager.png since illager glyphs are currently not used by the game

Update v15 - Cleanup: - Removed shading from certain symbols: - a. for consistency with ascii.png rows #12-14: - unicode_page_25.png: 2580-259f (includes ▚ 259a, width fix applies) - b. due to shading not looking great for those in some cases: - ❤ 2665, ✦ 2726 - c. due to visual issue if formatted bold (v14): - ⦾ 29be - Removed unused unicode_page_00.png - ⓘ _Contains the unicode font version of the latin alphabet. Normally used when "Force Unicode Font" in language settings is enabled. While it was included, it was not actually used. Doing some testing, it can work, however it would have spacing issues & v14's visual issues that cannot be easily fixed._ - Fixed outdated link in bundled license

Update v14 - Symbols Patch: Some users have been experiencing certain symbols on popular servers as double-struck that are not supposed to be that way, this release should patch said issue. See Q&A #5 for details. - The following codepoints are no longer affected by the pack: ⚝ 269d, ㋖ 32d6, ツ 30c4, ꕁ a541, ℻ 213b, ൠ 0d60, ⚛ 269b, ꈔ a214, ꕪ a56a, ࿇ 0fc7, ✉ a925, ⸕ 2e15, ☘ 2618, ꖘ a598 - The following codepoints now borrow their design from the 16x version: ░ 2591, ▒ 2592, ▓ 2593 You should now no longer encounter any distorted glyphs naturally.

Update v13 - Wynncraft Fix: - Minor pack description tweaks - Now overrides Wynncraft's new "unreadable" item tooltip font (handled separately) For use on Wynncraft, ensure to have the Server Pack Unlocker Mod installed to give this pack priority. https://modrinth.com/mod/server-pack-unlocker Special thanks to dirtysheep233's "Wynn Legacy Item Fonts" for illustrating how to override Wynncraft's font. https://modrinth.com/resourcepack/wynn-legacy-item-fonts Also check out the one year anniversary version!

Update 365 - 1 Year Anniversary: The pack has now been around for about one year. To celebrate, this is a special release that is a copy of v13 but instead uses the original shading style (and pack.png) that never got updated past v8. Thank you for using Der's Shaded Font.

Update v12 - Huge Unifont Patches: + fixed a lot of the ~8,500 newly added shaded characters/symbols in v11 not having their shading recognized by the game (now you can see them all!) + fixed some newly added characters being sized weirdly + removed unnecessary files & outdated license + tested for compatibility on Minecraft 26.1+ (success!) + fixed some non-english languages having tiny glyphs, similar to the look of ancient unifont versions (all supported glyphs should look fine now!) + fixed a case where ALL glyphs of nonlatin_european.png would be invisible

Update v11 - The Hypixel Update: + Added shading to another ~8,500 characters/symbols, especially those commonly used by servers + Re-added shading to 3 checkerboard-like characters + Fixed ~50 characters having too much shading + MUCH MORE language support + Licensing: All Rights Reserved/No license -> Open Font License Edit: There will be an upcoming patch fixing some symbols. *** - Shading Styles have been reverted. While they had variety, they strayed away from the original style & idea of the pack: providing a simple font shading solution. Mods are no longer required. Styles can still be found working fine on v9.2 and v9.1 but will not be updated. - Editions are no longer used as there is only a single file for updates now. This change was made to make it less confusing to download. - The project description has had a massive clean up. *** Update v10: + adjusted shading tint to be visibly darker (but will you notice?) Got feedback? Go to the bottom of the project description and submit it there!

Update v9.1: (the largest one so far, especially regarding file size) --- v9+: Respackopts (mod) is recommended to access the new styles! --- - Removed "Subtle" style as it was too subtle to be noticeable and it was primarily for testing the style system - Respackopts should now be automatically installed if this pack is downloaded through any popular launcher - Added 4 new styles, each supporting 100% of characters - New Styles: Gray, Rose, Nature, Opal

Update v9: - start of experimentation with various shading styles - new styles can be accessed with respackopts mod installed (optional), will default to usual shading without it - style added for testing purposes: "Subtle" Many more to be added!

Update v8: - Final fixes and extended version support for Amethyst Edition, Copper Edition will follow in about 3 to 5 business days (when MC 26 releases). - Updated project page

Update v7 (specific to Amethyst for now): - Fixed an issue causing Amethyst edition to be broken on MC 1.21.9+ - Adjusted version support for Amethyst edition to now support MC 1.21 fully to be more in line with the other editions and the upcoming MC version jump - Removed Herobrine Update Specific Questions Q: What's the difference between this and Copper v6? A: For MC 1.21.9-1.21.11 you can now choose between Amethyst v7 and Copper v6, they are functionally the same now except that Copper v6 doesn't support MC 1.21.8 and below which Amethyst v7 does now instead. Copper will likely be moved to MC 26+ or there will be a separate edition for future versions.
