## SmartInventory 1.6 — Changelog ### Bug Fixes - Fixed shulker boxes being inserted into other shulker boxes using **F**, including bulk inventory transfers. All shulker colors now respect vanilla restrictions. ### Full Container Sorting - Added **double-click sorting on any item when a chest, barrel, or shulker box is full**. - Containers with empty slots retain the existing sorting controls. - Single clicks continue to pick up items normally. - Sorting safely returns the picked-up item before reorganizing the container. - The new sorting action is skipped if the contents change between clicks. ### Performance - Full-container detection runs only when a player clicks inside the open container. - No background scans, repeating tasks, or checks of closed containers were added.

# SmartInventory 1.5 — Secure Access Update SmartInventory 1.5 brings a new access system, better compatibility, persistent settings, and many internal improvements. ## New access system SmartInventory now uses **deny-by-default access**. New players cannot use its features until an administrator gives them permission. You can manage individual players with: ```text /smartinv admin <player> on /smartinv admin <player> off /smartinv admin <player> status ``` You can also manage the built-in access group: ```text /smartinv admin group add <players...> /smartinv admin group remove <players...> /smartinv admin group list ``` Optional LuckPerms permissions were also added: ```text smartinventory.use smartinventory.smartinv smartinventory.smartchest smartinventory.admin ``` ## Improvements * Player preferences are now saved in `player-settings.yml`. * Settings are preserved after reconnecting or restarting the server. * `/smartinv on|off|status` now controls both inventories and containers. * All commands are now unified under `/smartinv`. * Missing language keys are added automatically without replacing custom messages. * Added complete translations for 10 languages. * Improved command suggestions and language messages. * Added automatic validation for `plugin.yml` and language files. ## Fixes * Fixed unauthorized players being able to use the plugin. * Fixed new players starting with features enabled. * Fixed preferences being lost after restarts. * Fixed Folia scheduler and shared-data issues. * Fixed malformed `plugin.yml` files. * Fixed missing and incomplete translations. ## Removed The following commands were removed: ```text /smartchest /smartinventoryadmin /siadmin ``` Their functionality is now available through `/smartinv`. ## Updating Stop the server, replace the old JAR, and start it normally. Do not use `/reload`. Existing players must now be authorized through `/smartinv admin`, the internal group, or a permission plugin.

## SmartInventory v1.3 — Compatibility Update (Paper & Spigot) ### ✅ What changed - Replaced the old **Spigot/Bungee ActionBar** implementation (`player.spigot().sendMessage(...)` with `net.md_5.bungee.api.*`) with **Adventure-based ActionBar** (`player.sendActionBar(Component)`). - Kept legacy color support by deserializing `§`-style formatted text into Adventure `Component`. ### 🎯 Why this was changed - The previous ActionBar method could behave inconsistently across newer server versions. - Using Adventure is the modern, stable approach supported by Paper and compatible with modern Spigot setups. ### ✅ Compatibility - Works on **Paper**: `1.20.6 → 1.21.11` - Compatible with **Spigot** builds that include Adventure / modern Bukkit API behavior. ### 📌 Notes for server owners - No config changes required. - This is a drop-in update: just replace the jar and restart the server.

# SmartInventory v1.2 — Security Update (GUI Protection) This update adds a small but important protection to prevent item exploits when interacting with plugin menus. ## ✅ What was happening? Some server menus/GUI inventories (shops, selectors, custom UIs) are technically “chest-like” inventories. SmartInventory could mistakenly treat them as real containers — meaning players could use hotkeys like **F (swap offhand)**, **double-click**, or **shift-click** to move “blocked” menu items into their own inventory. ## 🔒 What’s fixed in v1.2 SmartInventory now **only activates SmartChest features on real containers opened from the world**, such as: - Chests (including double chests) - Barrels - Shulker Boxes Any **GUI/menu inventory from other plugins is ignored**, preventing players from extracting protected items. ## 🧠 What this means for servers - ✅ No more “free items” from menus - ✅ No more stealing icons/locked items from GUIs - ✅ SmartChest sorting and quick-transfer still work normally on real storage blocks - ✅ Better compatibility with shop/menu plugins Thanks for using SmartInventory — more QoL improvements soon!

# SmartInventory – Update ### 🔁 Block Swap Polishing - Improved and polished the **block swap behavior** when placing blocks while holding an item in the **offhand**. - Swapping between the block you place and the item in your secondary hand should now feel **smoother, more predictable, and consistent** during building. --- ### 🖱️ Easier Double-Click Sorting - The **double-click sorting** logic has been adjusted and simplified. - Now, while holding any block in your hand, you can: - **Double-click any empty slot** inside a container (chest, barrel, etc.) - SmartInventory will **instantly sort the entire container**. No need to aim at a specific item stack anymore — just double-click on an empty slot and let the plugin handle the organization for you.
