SIR – Simple In-game Receptionist
A modular Minecraft assistant that centralizes chat management, announcements, onboarding, and cross-platform communication. SIR ships with a rich configuration toolkit so you can tailor every interaction players see without touching Java code.

Command behaviour, aliases, and language strings live under resources/commands/ for complete customization.
Formatting & Player Experience Toolkit
- Message prefixing: Define the main plugin prefix, centred text tag, and line separators in
config.yml. - Gradient & rainbow tags: Use
<G:#RRGGBB:#RRGGBB>or<R:n>syntax anywhere the plugin parses text. - Interactive components: Attach hover lists and click actions across messages, announcements, and mentions.
- Sound design: Assign unique join/quit, mention, and announcement sounds using vanilla sound keys.

Getting Started
- Drop SIR into
plugins/– No external dependencies are required; Takion is already shaded inside the jar. - Start your server once – Configuration files populate under

Telemetry & Privacy
SIR reports anonymous usage data to bStats (metrics ID 25264) to help the developer understand which integrations are active. Disable metrics globally in plugins/bStats/config.yml or use your firewall if you prefer to opt out.

## Custom Commands and Console Logging
Create your own commands with the new Custom Commands module, plus console logging options for announcements, join/quit and advancement messages.
### Added
- **Custom Commands module:** one file per command in its `commands` folder, with arguments, permissions, cooldowns, costs, random values and an in-game editor menu. Ships with ready examples like ping, me, try, dice, coin, ball, broadcast and daily.
- `log-to-console` in the Announcements, Join-Quit and Advancements `config.yml`. Announcements and join/quit messages can also override it with their own `log` option.
### Changed
- Clear Chat and Print are now custom commands (`commands/clear-chat.yml` and `commands/print.yml`). Your edited settings and messages are copied over automatically, and the old folders are renamed to `<name>-migrated`.
- PlaceholderAPI identifiers now use dashes: `%sir_color_...%` is now `%sir-color_...%` and `%sir_toggle_...%` is now `%sir-toggle_...%`.
- Private notices, like mute and vanish chat warnings, are no longer logged to console.
- PacketEvents is now a soft dependency, so SIR loads after it when installed.
### Fixed
- Errors that were silently ignored are now logged to console.
### Notes / Recommendations
- Update your placeholders from `%sir_color_...%` and `%sir_toggle_...%` to `%sir-color_...%` and `%sir-toggle_...%`.
- Restart your server after updating.

Adds support for Minecraft 26.3, with chat hover fixes for tags and mentions and a cleaner default channel setup.

- Added support for Minecraft 26.3.
### Changed
- New installs now use the default channel as the server-wide chat. The example `global` channel is now a `local` channel (`!`, `/l` or `/local`, 120 blocks).
- Tags and mentions keep their own hover and click, while the channel hover and click cover the rest of the chat line.
### Fixed
- Fixed tag and mention hovers disappearing in channels that have their own hover or click.
- Fixed `{tag_default}` and other tag placeholders showing as plain text when a player has no tag.
- Fixed items being movable in the in-game config editor's text input, and blank values being saved as `<empty>`.
- Fixed gradients not reaching their end color.
- Fixed bold, italic and other styles carrying over after a legacy color code.
- Fixed player head and sprite tags not working on Minecraft 1.21.10 and 1.21.11.

Official Minecraft 26.2 support, plus a fix for reload errors on newer Paper builds.

- Added official support for **Minecraft 26.2**. SIR now recognises the version and its protocol, so version checks, hex colors and per-player formatting behave correctly on 26.2 servers and for 26.2 clients joining through **ViaVersion**.
### Fixed
- Fixed `/sir reload` throwing an error on newer Paper builds while cleaning up stale command entries, since Paper's Brigadier-backed command map does not allow removing entries through its iterator.
### Changed
- Updated the bundled **Takion** library to `2.0.1`, which brings the new PrismaticAPI **Element** messages and the updated VNC version detection.
- GitHub releases are now published directly instead of as a prerelease.

## Discord Relay and Vanish Controls
Discord relay and Vanish update focused on cleaner chat forwarding and configurable fake join/quit behavior.
### Added
- Added `fake-join-quit` to the Vanish config.
- Server owners can now disable fake join/quit messages when players toggle vanish.
### Fixed
- Fixed DiscordSRV and SIR both relaying the same channel message to Discord.
- Fixed Discord channel relay fallback, so missing channel-specific relay config can use the `global-chat` route/template instead.
### Notes
- No configuration reset is required.
- Restart your server after updating.
- To disable vanish fake join/quit messages, add or set `fake-join-quit: false` in the Vanish config.
