Sign Builder Mod 🎨
Sign Builder is a cross-platform Minecraft mod (Forge, NeoForge & Fabric) that allows players to seamlessly build, color, animate, and materialize custom 3D signs and futuristic screens. Fully balanced for Survival mode, this mod provides highly detailed 3D characters, compact sub-block mini letters, a dynamic painting system, animated neon lighting, interactive Redstone buttons, PIN security keypads, towering multi-blocks, modular backplates, high-tech LCD screens, and an expansive 40-material catalog!
⚠️ IMPORTANT: Architectury API is a required dependency on all loaders! (Fabric users also require Fabric API).

🛠️ How to Use
🏗️ Building & Placing
- Craft a Sign Press to manufacture letters, numbers, symbols, and backplates.
- Place single blocks normally, or arrange matching blocks into 2x2 or 3x3 squares to create giant multi-blocks.
- Place LCD Screen blocks adjacent to each other to build custom-sized displays, then right-click with an empty hand to configure text, fonts, themes, and animations.
- Press
Shift + Vwhile holding a sign block to toggle Grid Mode (2x2, 3x3, 4x4, 5x5) and place mini letters inside a single block. Sneak + Right-Click to retrieve individual letters. - Open the Sign Blueprint (Right-Click air) to type words, select symbols, adjust layouts, and stamp complete signs instantly with real-time 3D ghost preview.
🎨 Customizing & Automating
- Paint Brush: Right-click the air to select from 40 materials, dyes, RGB hex codes, or Rainbow mode. Right-click blocks to apply (or
Shift + Right-Clickto paint the backplate). - The Wrench: Right-click the air to configure lighting animations (Wave, Blink, Sensors) or Redstone mechanics (Pulse, Lever, Hold, PIN Passcodes).
- Glow Ink Sac / Ink Sac: Right-click any block or backplate to toggle full-bright glow illumination on that face.
- Smart Fill: Sneak + Right-Click the air with any tool to apply styles or configurations across an entire connected word at once.
🎒 Survival Mode & Crafting Guide
- Direct Block Drops: Mining a placed sign, backplate, or LCD screen drops the block itself, attached backplates, and any applied material items (balanced for both bare-hand and pickaxe harvesting).
- Silk Touch Preservation: Mining with Silk Touch preserves all custom NBT data (colors, materials, light modes, and PIN configurations) on the dropped item.
- Blueprint Economy: Building with Blueprints consumes the required blocks and backplates directly from your inventory.

* **Survival Breaking & Drops:** Fixed a bug where mod blocks (letters, backplates, grid signs, LCD screens) took abnormally long to break bare-handed and failed to drop their items in survival mode. Fixed blocks missing from the pickaxe-mineable tag.
* **Block Destruction Cracks:** Fixed a bug where the block breaking crack/crumbling animation was invisible while mining letters and LCD screens.
* **Back-Side Wall Placement:** Fixed raycasting and offset math preventing letters and blueprints from being placed on the rear face of wall backplates.
