If you don't care about floodfill lighting you can turn it off in the **Shader Settings -> Ambient Light -> FloodFill** - distant horizons keeps messing with the Quality Preset so don't forget to check the DH settings from time to time. - chunk loading times are very long, using chunky seems to help.
