Changed — Lion pride gifts now arrive on the first sleep after forming a pride, then every 3–4 in-game days (was: nothing on the first sleep, then every 8–12 days). Timing is world-day based, so skipping nights never resets it — sleep on the 4th night and your gift is waiting. Existing prides migrate to the faster cadence automatically.

Fixed: chest tops sit flush with the elephant's back. Feature-complete and stable.

Fixed: chests rendered upside down; raised them.

Changed: mule-style chest placement — embedded into the flanks, moved to the hindquarters.

Changed: Jade stats now use the exact same scale/format as Jade's own horse tooltips.

Fixed: chests rendered at ground level (missing bone attachment).

Added: Chests render visually on the elephant (1 = left flank, 2 = both); chest count synced to all players.

Fixed: Cargo menu drew garbage graphics (wrong texture region) that looked like phantom chest slots; mount preview position. Added: Chest-equip particles; shears remove elephant chests one at a time (spilling that chest's items).

Added: Elephant cargo — equip up to 2 chests (15 slots each, 30 total), mule-style; contents drop on death; taller two-chest menu. Changed: Deer loyalty is owner-based — removing the saddle no longer makes it fear its owner. All tamed mounts can be sat on bareback (no steering without a saddle) and their menu opens without one.

Added: Jade integration (optional): looking at a mount shows Owner, Tamed, Speed, Jump height / Dash strength, Saddled. Deer record their owner when saddled. HorseBuff-parity: no more 5× mining slowdown while sitting on a mount (zebras get all of HorseBuff natively since they're true horses).

Changed: Pride leadership matches the actual Naturalist 5.0pre3 behavior (maned lion leads). Gifts now require 1 fully tamed maned leader + 3 fully tamed followers. Added: If the tamed leader dies with no tamed maned heir nearby, the half-tamed pride abandons its owner.

Added: Owner system — tamed/saddled animals remember their tamer and never attack them; everyone else is fair game. Boars act dog-like (retaliate vs non-owners). Lion prides: taming the maned leader half-tames nearby followers (bareback ridable, follow the leader, protect the leader's owner); fully taming a follower makes it leave the pride; lions retaliate when hurt. Pride gifts: a leader with a big pride hunts while you sleep (~every 10 days — meats, sometimes a bone or toy). Lion foods now include raw cod/salmon + chevon (Goated) and raw duck (Naturalist/Promenade). Feeding tamed animals shows hearts and heals. Hippos eject riders in water deeper than ~12 blocks. Elephants also tame with wheat (1-in-10, slow route). Changed: Giraffe features removed (Naturalist's built-in giraffe riding stays as-is). Fixed: Dismount fall damage on tall mounts (elephant/rhino/hippo); wild elephants no longer show confusing breeding hearts for wheat.

Added: Boar (pig-style: saddle directly, steer with carrot on a stick, boostable), lion (raw-meat taming ⅓ chance, horse-style with strong leap), hippo (melon-slice taming, camel-style, swims), rhino (wheat taming, strong charge dash), elephant (hay-block taming, slow, 1.5 step-up), giraffe (saddle upgrade over built-in riding — later removed). Visible saddles on all mounts (painted onto the animated models). Horse-style inventory screen (inventory key while riding or sneak + empty hand; saddle slot). Jump-bar leap (deer/lion) and camel dash (big mounts). Taming feedback: smoke per attempt, hearts on success. Fixed: Deer flee-AI regression — wild animals keep 100% stock behavior; only saddled/ridden mounts stay calm.

Added: Saddle + ride deer (sneak up to saddle, empty hand to ride, WASD steering, charged leap on jump key, 1-block step-up, saddle drops on death, shears unsaddle, no despawning). Zebras tame + saddle in one saddle click; sneaking players don't spook them. Known issues (fixed later): saddles invisible, wild deer stopped fleeing players.
