this modpack was made for personal reasons. it is made for use on a private modded server. this modpack aims to make it simple to connect to the server and also contains the mods that the server uses. if you are interested in this server for whatever reason, you may install this modpack as a server (see below) and distribute the modpack for people to connect to the server.

what does this modpack add
the modpack has a few general purposes
- more exciting gameplay (e.g. create, create aeronautics, northstar, farmer's delight, sophisticated backpacks)
- improve the game's visuals (e.g. iris shaders, fusion, 3d skin layers, not enough animations)
- add useful utilities for players (e.g. appleskin, emi, jade, xaero's minimap, just zoom, simple voice chat)
- enhance the performance of the game and the server (e.g. sodium, lithium, ferritecore, modernfix)
how do i make a server with this/why are there so many mods
the modpack also has the server's mods. every file is marked by where it's actually used, so launchers ideally (hopefully) should only install the client's mods and server installers only install the server's mods.
why is this modpack public
the reason this modpack is public is simply for convenient downloading and updating for players.
help i have a problem

can i use this modpack for my own stuff
feel free to do whatever you want with my content in this modpack. sackpack's own files are mit, but the content that is not mine have their own licenses that you must respect.
what are those legacy versions
those were older iterations of the modpack that aren't related to the newer versions. i hope my labels have made it sufficiently clear which version is the newly maintained version.
whats up with the telemetry
since this is a modpack for a private server with my own needs, i need to optimize the client modpack and having the pack send data on config settings, fps, and such helps me optimize its settings and presets. if you arent connecting to my server specifically it doesnt send any data.

* fixed create machines drawing slower on windows since alpha.30
* added a machine lighting setting to sackpack settings (simpler lighting for create machines on low and potato)
* fixed a crash on macs while the game is starting
* maps in item frames are lit smoothly like the blocks around them
* tooltips have a new look; long ones still scroll with alt + the scroll wheel
* chat shows the time of each message, and you can copy a message by clicking its time or with ctrl+c

* fluids in emi now open on the recipe that makes them instead of draining, and kombucha can be brewed again
