# Raion's Vanilla Plus 2.0.1 This patch updates the mod selection, ships the current enabled resource packs in their saved order, and adds Pickup Notifier client defaults. ## Changes - Added Crash Assistant, Dark Loading Screen, ShatterLib, Sound Physics Perfected, and spark. - Removed LambDynamicLights because of performance issues when used with shaders. Since shaders are enabled by default, dynamic lighting is now optional: install LambDynamicLights manually if you want to use it. - Replaced Sound Physics Remastered with Sound Physics Perfected. - Updated CreativeCore to **2.14.22**, Simple Blood to **1.2.0**, Voxy Extra to **0.2.8**, XaeroPlus to **2.37.1**, Xaero's Minimap to **26.6.1**, and Xaero's World Map to **1.47.1**. - Added Vanilla Experience+, Better Lanterns, Fresh Food, and Re-covered resource packs. - Included Pickup Notifier client defaults through Config Manager. ## Installation and updating defaults Import the `.mrpack` into your launcher for a fresh installation, or update your existing instance to 2.0.1. To apply the latest modpack settings to an existing instance, open **Mod Menu → Config Manager** and select **Update**. This overwrites the settings supplied by the modpack with its current defaults, including the resource-pack selection and order. Settings the pack does not change retain your personal values. # Raion's Vanilla Plus 2.0: The Packwiz Rebuild **Pure Minecraft, refined.** Version **2.0** marks a major milestone for Raion's Vanilla Plus. The modpack has been rebuilt, reorganized, and refined with a focus on better performance, improved visuals, and a more consistent vanilla experience. The goal remains the same: **a smoother, more immersive, and more convenient Minecraft experience without changing what makes vanilla Minecraft special.** ## ✨ What's New in 2.0 ### 📦 Complete Packwiz Migration - Rebuilt the modpack around **Packwiz** for consistent and reproducible releases. - Reorganized mod, shader, and resource pack management. - Improved version tracking and dependency management. - Established a cleaner foundation for future Minecraft updates. ### ⚡ Back to Voxy One of the most notable changes in this release is the switch **from Distant Horizons back to Voxy**. Voxy takes over distant terrain rendering, providing an alternative approach to extended view distances while keeping the focus on performance and visual consistency. This change is part of an ongoing effort to find the best balance between immersive visuals, rendering performance, and compatibility with the rest of the modpack. ### 🔧 Mod Replacements & Refinements Several mods have been reconsidered, adjusted, or replaced to improve the overall experience. - Updated the mod selection, including changes involving **Simple Blood** and other visual effect mods. - Replaced selected mods with alternatives that better fit the pack's vanilla-focused design. - Refined the balance between visual enhancements, immersion, and performance. - Continued reducing unnecessary complexity and overlapping functionality. The goal is not to include as many mods as possible, but to make every addition feel worthwhile. ### ⚙️ Configuration Overhaul - Reorganized configuration files and first-launch defaults. - Refined selected quality-of-life and visual settings. - Improved the foundation for consistent settings across fresh installations. - Reduced unnecessary and outdated configuration files. ### 🎨 Visuals & Immersion - Reorganized the included shader and resource pack collection. - Refined visual effects and atmospheric enhancements. - Continued focusing on subtle details that complement the original Minecraft aesthetic. - Maintained flexibility for players to customize their visual experience. ### ⚡ Performance & Quality of Life - Continued refining the optimization-focused mod selection. - Maintained useful features such as minimap functionality, inventory improvements, and enhanced interfaces. - Prioritized a smooth and responsive experience without unnecessary gameplay changes. ## 🔄 Upgrading from Previous Versions **A fresh installation is strongly recommended for version 2.0.** Since the modpack's internal structure, mod selection, and configuration management have changed significantly, creating a separate launcher instance is the safest approach. Before upgrading: - Back up your existing worlds and settings. - Create a fresh instance using version 2.0. - Review your preferred shaders, resource packs, and controls. - Allow Voxy to initialize its own terrain data and caches. - Check Minecraft version and mod compatibility before transferring existing worlds. World compatibility cannot be guaranteed across different Minecraft versions or world-generation configurations. ## 🚀 What's Next?
