What is this, again?

Quartz's Console: Rewritten (formerly known as "Quartz's Console: Redesigned N' Remodernized") is a successor and rewrite to Quartz's Console, if Legacy was never discontinued. Thanks to Wilyicario's Legacy4J mod, it now features a near 100% parity with the Console Edition GUI's. It still aims to balance old and new features to the game.

Compatible with PC, Linux, and Steam Deck.

Unimplemented features from Legacy4J will be temporarily substitute by a mod.

  • Default: 1080p Fullscreen, GUI Scale: Auto
  • Steam Deck: 800p Fullscreen 16:10, GUI Scale: Auto (optional: 1152x720, FSR enabled)

# Steam Input is finally deprecated! Experimental Controller Support has been added! Most features have to be removed. So when a new update for L4J arrives, the features should be added in the mod. ## To fix stuck on loading, you have to "Play Tutorial", leave the world, then load the world. ### General - Added "Remember My Txt" - Open Mod Menu by pressing "N" - Fixed some keybinds defaulted to "Not Bound", stupid options.txt - Added awful workarounds to find a way on how to Toggle Sprint and Shift. - For PC and Linux users, use "CTRL+Y" to open menu. - For Steam Deck users, update controller layout to the latest matching version, then use the left radial menu to open menu. ## Changes in creative fly & building mechanics. **Creative Flying speed in Legacy is different compared to Java.** Based on the Xbox 360 Edition, default flying is a bit slow, and sprint flying is way faster. Now, I'm implementing that same behaviour to Java, **minus** bi-directional flying. It's even better than Carpet's flying mechanics. There are some drawbacks, but I don't care bro enjoy da feature then xd Block placement in Legacy is, of course, different to Java as well. After finding a good block placement mods out there, the only mod that's working properly is "Accurate Block Placement Reborn." The mod fixed an issue regarding unwanted block placements. Okay back to the changelogs... ### Non-Legacy - Improved window title - Replaced Minecraft icon - Added Sign Edit Lite - Added TitleChanger - Added Better Suggestions ### Legacy Parity - Added BetterControls, implements flying in LCE than Carpet - Added Accurate Block Placement Reborn, implements fast block placement in LCE ### General - Updated C2ME - Removed "Custom Window Title" - Removed "World List" Icons - Removed Starlight - Removed Bedrodium - Removed Sodium Core Shader Support - Removed Quick Menu ### Resources - "Legacy4J Water Resources" no longer enabled by default - Compressed new Console Aspects to ZIP Note: Some of these optimization changes have been requested by a member of Quartz's Console Discord Server. It had clear explanations of why it had to be removed. Known issues: - Rare crash related to chunks, I believe it's caused by the C2ME update. - Toggle Sprint and Toggle Sneak Options are greyed out and unable to be checked. Workaround will apply.
