# Psi: Eightfold 0.1.0-alpha.1 The first public alpha of **Psi: Eightfold**, an addon for Psi focused on expanding spell programming flexibility rather than adding prebuilt spells. ## Highlights ### 8-way spell programming - Spell inputs can connect from all 8 adjacent directions: - North - Northeast - East - Southeast - South - Southwest - West - Northwest - Added diagonal connection arrows and connector rendering. - Added diagonal support to Psionic Utilities drag routing. ### Expanded Cross Connector - Cross Connectors now support **4 isolated channels** instead of 2. - All channels can use cardinal or diagonal directions. - Additional channel controls use a second configuration column. ### Dynamic Number inputs - Inputs that previously required a Number Constant can now accept computed Number values. - Includes support for dynamic values in systems such as Conjure Circle and saved-vector slots. ### Conditional Tricks Every Trick receives an optional `Condition` input. - Values between `-1` and `1` execute the Trick. - Values at or beyond `-1` or `1` skip the Trick. - `0` executes normally. This allows spell logic such as firing a Trick only on a particular Loopcast iteration. ## New spell pieces ### Entity manipulation - Trick: Teleport Entity - Trick: Set Entity Name - Trick: Add Entity Tag - Trick: Remove Entity Tag - Operator: Entity Name - Operator: Entity Has Tag - Operator: Entities with Tag - Operator: Entities with Name ### Projectiles - Trick: Launch Arrow - Spawns a normal Minecraft arrow. - Programmable position, direction, and speed. ### Number and base utilities - Operator: Decimal to Hex - Operator: Hex to Decimal - Operator: Convert Base ### Color - Trick: Set CAD Color - Trick: Reset CAD Color - Conjure Circle now supports a programmable Color input. - Hex colors such as `#FF00AA` are supported. ### Pehkui integration When Pehkui is installed: - Trick: Set Entity Scale - Operator: Entity Scale ### PsiTweaks integration When PsiTweaks is installed, Blaze Ball gains programmable: - Position - Direction - Speed - Power - Size - Condition ## Conjure Circle improvements - Direction input has been adjusted so Entity Look can be used more naturally for circle orientation. - Programmable per-circle colors. - CAD color overrides can be inherited by circles. ## Programmer UI - Inputs 1-4 retain the normal layout. - Inputs 5-8 appear in a second configuration panel. - Updated diagonal direction artwork. ## Dependencies ### Required - Minecraft 1.21.1 - NeoForge - Psi 1.21.1-110 - Psionic Utilities 1.21-1.4 ### Recommended - PsiTweaks 1.21.1-0.10.8-hotfix ### Optional - Pehkui 3.8.3+1.21-neoforge ## Compatibility This alpha has currently been tested specifically against the versions listed above.
