Modern Keystrokes (Fabric)

Modern Keystrokes is a clean, modern, and lightweight HUD mod for Minecraft: Java Edition (Fabric). It displays your movement keys, mouse clicks, CPS, FPS, and server Ping in real-time.

This is an unofficial, heavily updated, and optimized continuation of the classic Hippo Keystrokes mod, built for modern Minecraft versions.

✨ Features

  • WASD Movement: Responsive visual feedback for movement keys.
  • Mouse Stats: Left and Right mouse button tracking with an integrated CPS counter.
  • Spacebar: Visual bar for jump key presses.
  • FPS Counter: Clean frame-rate indicator.
  • Ping Display: Real-time server latency counter (ms) with persistent connection tracking.
  • Dynamic Seamless Layout: Disabling any module automatically collapses the layout without leaving empty spaces or gaps.
  • In-Depth Customization (/keystrokes):
    • Toggle any individual module on or off (Keys, Mouse, FPS, Spacebar, Ping).
    • Position Sliders: Move the HUD anywhere on your screen using X and Y sliders.
    • Scale Slider: Resize the entire overlay from 0.5x to 1.5x to perfectly fit your resolution.

🚀 How to Use

  1. Make sure you have Fabric Loader and Fabric API installed.
  2. Place the mod .jar file into your .minecraft/mods folder.
  3. Launch Minecraft and type /keystrokes in chat to open the in-game settings GUI.
  4. Adjust positions, scale, and toggles to your liking and click Save & Exit.

Note: It is highly recommended to use this mod alongside Sodium.

### Changelog ## Optimization and Stability Fixed critical crash risk (ConcurrentModificationException): click metric processing logic moved to a thread-safe environment. Changed FPS calculation algorithm: implemented native game client method instead of an unstable background counter. Synchronized RGB indicator animation with system time. Color change speed no longer depends on the current frame rate. ## UI/UX Fixed coordinate calculation logic: the FPS panel now correctly moves along the Y-axis with the main block. Set mathematical limits for X/Y sliders in the settings menu. Eliminated the possibility of the HUD moving off-screen when resizing the game window.
