# The _Bare_ Necessities ### Summary Hasn’t been a major update for almost a month! We’ve got some new features, updates, and user quality of life changes tonight! Starting with the biggest change, you’ll notice that 7 mods have been removed. They’re still here, but with a new face, MCParks Essentials! You’ll find a new settings button that lets you control all of the features in one place. With the debut of MCParks Essentials, we also have two new features. Wishing Well reminder, which will remind you to donate your park points in Magic Kingdom every day. And a Ride of the Day tracker and assistant. Just go into your MagicBand and right-click the “Attractions/Theme Parks” button, and you’ll be greeted with a new menu which automatically logs and tracks rides until the ROTD is found. Best of all, it syncs and shares ride data amongst modpack users! There has also been a big update to Better Bins! # A Symphony of Bins ### Summary Big update today! I’ll start with the most exciting change: the MCParks audio client is no longer needed! We now have a built-in audio client with an auto-connect feature and even an audio reconnect feature to help fix when MCParks fails to start the next track! It also has smoother transitions and faster playback compared to the website! A big update has been made to MCParks Better Bins, adding too many textures to mention. This was made possible thanks to Fireball71’s work on the new textures! MCParks Sync has been cleaned up! Including the indicator dot now displayed on the player's head in the player list. A new AFK feature has also been added. When you are inactive for 5 minutes, your dot will change colour so other users know you’re away! Finally, we have two big fixes for our Apple Silicon users! The bug which was causing random text characters not to render upon joining has been fixed, and the One Man’s Dream video mod now actually works and won’t crash you! ### Fine-Tuning - Sent GPUBooster to the Vault (Was causing missing characters on computers using Apple Silicon.) - Reimagined Entity Shadows (They are now disabled by default.) - Reimagined 3D Skin Layers (By default, their size is now 1.13; this is to stop them from poking through certain cosmetics.) - Updated MCParks Better Bins (Added many new garbage bins! # The Trash Can Kingdom ### Summary Exciting update today! Let’s start with the boring stuff: Chat Tools and Auth Me are no longer included. Auth Me was causing more issues than it solved, and Chat Tools is no longer needed thanks to some new mods. The mods replacing Chat Tools are ChatMacros and MCParks-WelcomeHome! ChatMacros lets you assign a chat message or command to execute on key press. Just head over to the controls tab in options. As for Welcome Home, you can now easily set your own custom message, which will be sent when a new player joins the server; it also can’t be tricked by fake messages! Have a look at chat settings in options to set it up. You’ll also find that your chat history is much longer and that when looking towards Dumbo the Flying Elephant in The Magic Kingdom, your framerate won’t drop as much when it isn’t in view. Unfortunately, at this time, I was unsuccessful in improving the actual performance of MCParks’ voxel models. The most exciting addition in today’s update is MCParks-BetterBins! This mod will replace the trash bins with Disney’s iconic models! Right now, only Main Street and Tomorrowland in The Magic Kingdom have models, though there are more on the way! The modpack will also temporarily not ship with cached chunks; don’t worry, they will load as you play.
