KTPlus
The enhanced kill effects plugin for Paper and Folia
KTPlus is what KT grew into when "a few kill effects" stopped being enough.
KT was the start. KTPlus is the rebuild: more effects, a real shop, money that persists, storage you can trust, Folia support, and the ops tools you actually need on a busy server.
You open /kt, buy an effect, get a kill, and it plays. Simple for players. Serious underneath.

Kill effects
A catalog that feels like progression, not a dump of icons.
71 effects ship with the plugin. Each one can carry its own price, premium price, category, damage rules, and perks. When an effect runs, KTPlus opens a session: temporary blocks, particles, entities, schematics if needed, then cleans up after itself.

Tune the whole catalog in effects.yml. Change a price, reload, done.
The shop GUI
Players type /kt. That is usually enough.
Browse by category, scroll the list, filter, see your balance, buy, select. The GUI is meant to be obvious on first open. Under the hood it uses Inventory Framework, with a vanilla inventory fallback if the library stack misbehaves.
Want custom sounds for specific effects? Point resource-pack.yml at your pack, set the hash and required mode, and KTPlus can push it on join.
Economy
Two modes. Pick what already fits your network.

Pay players for kills (players and mobs are separate knobs), set a starting balance, rename currency labels. Admins manage balances with /kt killcoins.
With LuckPerms installed, you can grant a permission automatically when someone buys an effect. Useful for rank gated cosmetics without writing a second plugin.

Database
Unlocks and balances survive restarts because they live in a real database.
Flyway applies schema on startup. You are not hand editing SQL just to open the server.

- Player starts with their platform username, not the Minecraft IGN

Platform and performance
Separate NMS bridges. The right one loads at runtime.
Paper across the 1.21 line and Paper 26.x. Folia on compatible builds with region aware scheduling.
When the server is under pressure, performance.yml keeps sessions, cooldowns, and TPS throttling under control.
Boot logging tells you what loaded, what hooked, and which storage you are on.

Quick start
- Put the jar in
plugins/and start once /kt killcoins add <player> 1000/kt- Buy or select an effect
- Get a kill
First boot downloads Paper libraries. PacketEvents is prepared by KTPlus' own loader. Give it a clean first start.
