# It's a big one! Hello all, it's been a bit! (9 months, and almost 1,000 development hours since the last release.. neato.) 3.0.0 has been delayed time and time again, and the fact that this is a prerelease is indicative of the fact that it's still, unfortunately, not *quite* done yet. I'll cover the specific missing bits later on, but we're namely waiting on making sure Clockwork and our new foundational space mod (of which we've done too much custom worldgen to switch from), Cosmic Horizons, are updated, along with a snazzy new logo Valkyrien Skies update that should improve stability for a proper release. **Why wait though?** Mostly for stability as mentioned above, but that stability will enable our dedicated server to run especially smooth after some further testing, which is also where this prerelease comes in. We've only had a limited amount of testers available over the past few months, but to ensure that it succeeds properly, documenting and resolving as many issues and inconsistencies as possible is vital to ensuring Inquisitive is the best it can be! If you can test or stumble across any issues or feature requests, make a github issue or go to the discord to write a ticket/ask about it in FAQ! We need all the community help we can get. # 2.4.0: Tempered ## Balanced, as all things should be Much of Inquisitive has been rebalanced, rerevised, and rewritten- with much more on the way -this being the last major release before 3.0.0's development cycle. https://github.com/Liamgrayskull/Inquisitive/issues This will be the last major release before 3.0.0, but the server will still be up for a while!  ## Performance sweep!! One of the longer waits, the Moniker update is geared towards significant boosts in performance. From major entity, item, rendering, booting, debugging, internet, and even an Nvidium port for Nvidia graphics cards that singlehandedly recovers so, *so* much threading geared towards chunk rendering. Lots of groundwork prep..work, here. ## Player Interaction Chat Channels, such as /chat local, /chat global (look for an #🌔faq description for further elaboration) Nicknames, Name colors, bios, nametag improvements, decent looking speech bubbles, sitting & crawling, emote animations, emoji (with eventual discord server emoji importing) among many others, expression is due much more now. ## QOL Plenty of fixes for many old issues, minor gui rework on the way to expand drastically in coming updates as polish rolls out- Particles are particularly much nicer, both on the eyes, and the backend, along with resolving missing/broken textures & assets, featuresets that don't fit the pack, along with finally, *finally*, adding Architect's Pallete. **NOTE: Modpack will always crash upon first startup. This is normal! It's a known bug of Sinytra Connector, running it again will resolve the issue easily.** # 2.1.0 Changelog: CIT Textures: Using the anvil, you can now customize your armor and tools to a pretty sweet extreme! Go bonkers! Potioneering!: Combine any three potions in a cauldron to get a custom, blended potion. Add water to dilute! Death Fixes: Graves, being a physicalized block were surpisingly easy to get replaced by other blocks. That won't happen anymore because you will instead find your dead bodies everywhere! No longer will you become ghosts upon death however, as the spiritual armor kept replacing people's sweet, actual armor. Sorry. (For further elaboration- the death respawn radius has been decreased to accommodate for this change- unless within the radius of your bed, you will respawn in a randomized range from your death site (this'll be nicer as the border increases Music Discs: URL upload music discs. Nuff' said! Party Reworks!: The party system has been replaced with Argonauts, and you'll find that they have chat button guis! These are default unbound unless you somehow delete your options.txt each time, I swear I'll hire a button layout optimizer someday to figure this all out it's a pain changing each update lol Fixes Galore!: Fixed a lot of dumb things that are now much less dumb, like pancake fish which ate the server for breakfast, and the lack of knife tags because mod compat is silly (also redstone doesn't glow all wierd now!) If you find anything that is in need of fixing, please report it in the discord issue tracker! (Furnace gui is still funky, we're working on it) We also have new fonts and shaderpacks in the resourcepack/shaderpack folder respectively! Sorry to y'all who hate blocky text, I'm just opinionated I guess but the others are nice too (Unsanded was used in the 1.0.0 version of Inquisitive, and the Serified Font was used in one of my older fantasy-themed packs!) ### EXPANSION: Both the border and player claim sizes are expanding! To accommodate for this, please give your input on what freedoms player claims should have if possible- Distant Horizons is now disabled by default, turn it into a Jar file to run it once again! Removed Unusual Fish Mod - Look forward to further updates, the next patch is leading into a developmental cycle of terror but I promise the payoff is well worth it -
