A new major update is here! The mod has been fully rewritten once again, this time using official mappings.
Helpful Commands 4 brings new features, improved LuckPerms integration, more flexible permission control, and many other enhancements.
## ✨ Redesigned command list, configuration, and other menus
The command list now looks much nicer. There is a separate button for controlling the command state, and the command description is now hidden in a tooltip. It also displays all command usages.

As for configuration, you can now easily reset each config field to its default value. If LuckPerms is present, you will also be able to copy the meta ID if the config field supports it.

## 🪪 More flexible permission control
You can set permissions for individual arguments and define who can use commands on other players. For example, to use the `/fly` command on another player, you now need `helpful_commands.command.fly.others` (Fabric)/`command.fly.others` (NeoForge) permission.
## 🍀 LuckPerms Meta
You can override certain config fields with LuckPerms Meta. For instance, you can enable certain groups or players to create up to 10 homes while restricting others to 5.
## 💬 Improved command output
You will notice that the tooltips are now better organized, and the translations have been improved as well.

## 🌀 Warps
You can create warps now! Players can teleport to them or view information about them. Each warp can have a description.

## 🏠 Homes
Now, you can have more than one home. The home limit is configurable, and with LuckPerms meta, you can allow certain players or groups to have more homes.
## ➡️ TP requests
Send TP requests to other players by using the `/tpr` command. You can even add a comment if you want.

## ⏱️ Cooldowns
Configurable cooldowns are here! And, of course, they support LuckPerms meta.
- `home_tp_cooldown`: The cooldown time after teleporting to a home before the player can teleport again (in seconds)
- `tpr_request_cooldown_on_accepted`: The cooldown time before a player can send another teleport request after one is accepted (in seconds)
- `tpr_request_cooldown_on_cancel`: The cooldown time before a player can send another teleport request after cancelling one (in seconds)
## 🆕 New commands
- `/smelt`: Smelt/cook an item in player's main hand
- `/warp`: Manage, query, or teleport to warps
- `/coords`: Query, share, or broadcast player's coordinates
- `/fireball`: Launch a fireball
- `/tpr`: Make, accept, deny, cancel teleport requests
## 🆕 New config fields
- `max_homes`: The maximum number of homes that each player can have
- `tpr_request_timeout`: The amount of time the receiving player has to respond to a teleport request before it expires (in seconds)
- `fireball_power_limit`: The maximum power allowed for the /fireball command. Higher values are destructive and may cause lag
- `home_tp_cooldown`, `tpr_request_cooldown_on_accepted`, `tpr_request_cooldown_on_cancel` (already talked about them in "Cooldowns")
## 📃 Other changes
- NeoForge support 🦊
- `/back` command renamed to `/deathpos`
- `/hc commandList` is now `/hc commands`
- All config permissions now sit under `helpful_commands.command.hc.config.*` (Fabric)/`command.hc.config.*` (NeoForge)
- `/hc cooldowns` command to manage active cooldowns
- Add info slot to `/invsee` inventory UI: one of the empty slots was replaced with a slot containing an Enchanted Book that displays useful information about the five lower slots
- Log the amount of homes, warps, and active cooldowns when the server starts. Also print current platform
## ❌ Removed Restricted/Unrestricted(Public) command state
Please use LuckPerms to manage server permissions.
## ❗ Important
- Helpful Commands 4 is not compatible with your old Helpful Commands 3 configuration. You will need to reconfigure the mod
- All permission IDs have changed. You will need to update your permissions in LuckPerms
- Your old home point is not compatible with the new `/home` command
***
Those should be all of the main changes. The 4.0.0 documentation is already available and will help you with the initial setup. Thank you for using Helpful Commands!

Helpful Commands 4.0.0 [Fabric 1.21.6-1.21.8]
4.0.021 янв. 2026 г.219Minecraft: 1.21.6, 1.21.7, 1.21.8fabric
Что нового

- No more styling: all related commands and features were removed. The mod now only uses the default style.
- Add info slot to `/invsee` inventory UI: one of the empty slots was replaced with a slot containing an Enchanted Book that displays useful information about the five lower slots.
- `/hc cooldowns` command to manage active cooldowns.
- `/hc commandList` is now `/hc commands`.
- Log the amount of homes, warps, and active cooldowns when the server starts. Also print current platform.
- Fix `/dmg` command not working when `damage_type` argument is specified.
## 🔱 Permission updates
- Use fabric-permissions-api on Fabric, LuckPerms API on NeoForge.
- Granting permission for an argument doesn't give you access to the full command (for example, if `helpful_commands.command.fly.others` is set to `true`, that doesn't mean that you can use `/fly` command unless `helpful_commands.command.fly` is also set to `true`).
- All config permissions now sit under `helpful_commands.command.hc.config.*`.
- Permission IDs on Fabric and NeoForge are now different: on Fabric, all permission IDs are prefixed with `helpful_commands.`. For example, the ID for `/fly` command is `helpful_commands.command.fly` on Fabric and `command.fly` on NeoForge. This is to avoid situations where there are 2 permissions for one command on NeoForge.

This is the first alpha build of the upcoming major update for Helpful Commands.
The mod has been fully rewritten once again, this time using official mappings.
**🪲 Found a bug? Please report any issues you encounter!**
**📝 A full changelog will be released once the update is complete.**
For now, here are some key highlights in this alpha:
* NeoForge support
* Output refinements - menus and command outputs have been polished for a better experience
* New styling system - currently includes just 2 styles, but more will come in the future
* Improved `/home` command - now supports multiple homes (identified by a custom name)
* `maxHomes` config field
* New commands: `/warp`, `/coords`, `/smelt`
* `/back` command renamed to `/deathpos`
…and much more! Give it a try and feel free to share feedback - it’s extremely helpful.
### ❌ Missing features in this alpha
* Commands: `/dmg`, `/jump`, `/explosion`, `/lightning` - will return in future alpha versions
* Restricted/Unrestricted(Public) command state - please use [LuckPerms](https://luckperms.net) to manage server permissions
**❗Configuration files and data from Helpful Commands 3.X are not supported in 4.X**
**📖The Helpful Commands 4 documentation will only be available after the final release. For now, refer to the Helpful Commands 3.X documentation, which should suffice.**
As this is an alpha release, please use it only for testing. Explore what’s new, report bugs, and help make the final update better!

**Updated `/jump` command:**
- New optional boolean argument - `checkForBlocks`. If `true` and `distance` is given, it will check for blocks in the way; if there are, it will teleport you to the block, even if the given `distance` is greater than the final teleport distance. The default is `false`, which means it will just teleport you forward at the specified distance.
- Raycast distance has been increased: by simply typing `/jump` you can now teleport even further than before (note that the distance increases with your render distance). This doesn't apply to Minecraft 1.20.1 and below.
**New config value:** `jumpDistanceLimit`<br>
Maximum distance for the `/jump` command. Players will not be able to teleport further than this value. If set to 0, there is no limit for the `distance` argument, and the default formula will be used if the `distance` argument is empty.

### Yay, a global update!
The project was rewritten from scratch to fix some of the major issues, introduce support for the permissions API that you can use with tools like LuckPerms, fix most translation issues (especially on the servers), make command outputs even more interactive and vibrant, improve security, and, finally, make Helpful Commands even more flexible and stable.
## Improvements & Integrations
### Better support for servers
- Helpful Commands is now purely server-side, which means your players won't need to download the mod when playing on your server to get access to its functionality
- Fixed all translation issues
- Improved console command output: no more strange symbols and ambiguous messages when using the mod in the console
### Support for Permissions API and tools such as LuckPerms
- You can now use Permission management tools for even more flexible configuration: determine which players or groups can use certain commands and who can configure the mod
- If you can't use the command for whatever reason, it will simply be hidden from you, and there will be no autocomplete
### Better target support and command output
- Commands that support targets now display more detailed information in their output messages, allowing you to see all the entities or players that were affected
## New features
### New commands
- [/rename](https://expecticament.github.io/HelpfulCommands/commands/#rename)
- [/repair](https://expecticament.github.io/HelpfulCommands/commands/#repair)
### Command categories
All commands now have a category. And the command list now displays all commands in a nicer and categorized way.
### "Public" commands
Instead of setting OP levels for each command as in 2.0, you can now make the command public with a single click to make it available to everyone. By default all the commands are not public (restricted). Commands in the "Main" category are always public and this can't be changed.
## Removed features
- Removed `hcEnabled` game rule. You can't disable the mod now
- OP level setting for commands. Replaced with "Public" commands
## Other changes
- For security reasons, only the host can now configure the mod on integrated servers. Other players will get an error, even if they have configuration permissions. This doesn't apply to dedicated servers where you can use permission management tools to allow certain players to configure the mod
- `/heal` command can now be used on entities, not just players
- Support for custom dimensions for commands such as `/dimension`, `/home`, etc.
- `/explosion` command is now disabled by default
- Default power limit for `/explosion` command is now `15`
**Your old Helpful Commands configuration is not compatible with this version, so you will have to reconfigure the mod after updating from 2.0!**

**Yay! A global update**
_Translations support, full redesign of all the commands and main infos, targets support, new flexible config, more control over who can use commands, new commands, code improvements._
- Potential support for other languages (we just need to start translating now)
- Overhauls and redesigns for every single command in the mod. This also includes /hc that prints useful information and command lists. Speaking of which, almost every single output is now interactable: tap to toggle command, change some config value, execute or suggest something, etc.
- Support for targets. This is huge, because now you can affect other players with Helpful Commands. For example, make them be able to fly, or make them invulnerable and vice versa. Also works with entities: for instance, /dimension command now allows you to switch dimensions for other entities, not just players.
- It is now possible to set OP level required to execute a certain command. For example, make /gm command only available for the most privileged people on your server, or make /feed command available to literally everyone!
- Rebased Helpful Commands config. You will have to reconfigure the mod again, but you will be surprised by how easy it is to do now. With lots of code improvements and optimizations, configuring the mod is not hard and annoying at all. That also makes it more flexible, allowing you to set /explosion command power limit to your own preferred value. And, of course, you can also set the required OP level to edit mod's config.
- Individual command improvements. /home and /back commands, for instance, now show a really neat position output, as well as provide you with interactable chat texts that you can click on.
- New /ignite command which allows you to set target(s) on fire for a specified number of seconds.
- Removed /abilities command in favor of /god and /fly. Hopefully, this makes things more user-friendly and easy.
- Code optimizations in the mod itself. Potentially makes it more readable, but feel free to propose improvements.

Helpful Commands 2.0.0-1.19.4

Что нового
