🏹 Fletchery Expanded 2.0.0

Minecraft 1.21.1 | NeoForge

Turn the fletching table into a full arrow workshop.

Fletchery Expanded introduces a component-based arrow crafting system that lets you customize your ammunition. Combine feathers, shafts, tips, effects, and potions to create arrows with unique mechanics, appearances, and purposes.

Every combination has its own visual design, visible in your inventory, in your hand, when drawn in a bow, loaded into a crossbow, and in flight.

⚙️ Arrow Components

The mod features 5 feathers, 8 shafts, 25 tips, 43 effect components, all dye colors, and 20 potion types.

🪶 Feathers — 5

Feathers influence arrow speed, gravity, and flight behavior.

  • Feather — Standard flight characteristics.
  • Leather — When fired from a crossbow, can increase speed, reduce gravity, and grant piercing.
  • Phantom Membrane — Greatly increases arrow speed.
  • Wheat — Slows the arrow and increases gravity, making it fall faster.
  • Cobweb — Reduces speed and gravity, allowing the arrow to glide for longer.

🪵 Shafts — 8

Shafts introduce additional mechanics and change how your arrows interact with entities and the environment.

  • Stick — Standard shaft with no additional effects.
  • Blaze Rod — Ignites hit targets and interacts with fire-related mechanics, including TNT.
  • Breeze Rod — Makes the arrow phase, shrink, and accelerate before releasing Breeze-like wind charges.
  • Bone — Increases damage and applies Hunger to hit targets.
  • End Rod — Increases arrow speed and can launch a delayed phantom copy along the same trajectory.
  • Fishing Rod — Pulls hit targets toward the shooter.
  • Chain — Connects nearby entities around the impact point, binding them together.
  • Bamboo — Can preserve velocity, pierce multiple targets with diminishing damage, return after a successful sequence of hits, and grow bamboo under suitable conditions.

🎯 Tips — 25

Tips determine the arrow's primary combat properties, from armor penetration to crowd control and unusual utility.

  • Flint — Standard tip without additional effects.
  • Amethyst Shard — Allows arrows to pass through leaves and glass.
  • Prismarine Shard — Increases damage and allows arrows to travel through water without being slowed.
  • Echo Shard — Adds damage and unlocks echo mechanics, including stunning targets, resonance, sonar, and positional rollback.
  • Quartz — Can blind targets, weaken their armor, and trigger a disorienting flash.
  • Gold Ingot — Stores damage for later release through Nether-themed damage mechanics. Also calms Piglins when the shooter wears gold armor.
  • Copper Ingot — Can summon lightning, at the cost of reduced arrow damage.
  • Shulker Shell — Can apply Levitation, trigger a shulker-like explosion, and enable special telekinesis mechanics.
  • Iron Ingot — Increases damage and breaks shields. Can also heal Iron Golems.
  • Diamond — Increases damage, pierces armor, and breaks shields.
  • Netherite Ingot — Greatly increases damage and pierces armor.
  • Pointed Dripstone — Available as a tip, but has no dedicated special mechanic in this version.
  • Emerald — Provides additional damage against raid-related enemies and can increase the chance of obtaining emeralds from kills.
  • Coal — Builds a precision-hit streak that can empower a subsequent arrow.
  • Charcoal — Provides a separate configurable version of the coal-based streak mechanic.
  • Raw Iron — Adds damage and increases knockback.
  • Raw Copper — Can summon lightning with a configurable chance, while slightly reducing damage.
  • Raw Gold — Applies Weakness and can calm Piglins under the appropriate conditions.
  • Nautilus Shell — Slows targets, applies Mining Fatigue, interferes with certain aquatic effects, and can pull targets underwater.
  • Brick — Adds damage and knockback. Can create a temporary step-like support where the arrow hits a suitable block.
  • Nether Brick — Strengthens brick-tip mechanics and can create a heated temporary support that burns entities before cooling down.
  • Snowball — Creates a harmless projectile that deals no damage but can knock back and freeze targets. Harmful component effects are suppressed.
  • Iron Nugget — Produces smaller, faster arrows with reduced gravity. Can heal Iron Golems.
  • Gold Nugget — Produces smaller, faster arrows and provides a reduced version of the gold tip's reserved-damage mechanic.
  • Netherite Scrap — Adds damage and temporarily reduces the target's armor.

✨ Effect Components — 43 + Every Dye

Effect components add special abilities to arrows. They can alter combat, trigger environmental interactions, assist exploration, or create unusual combinations.

Combat and elemental effects

  • Gunpowder — Creates an explosion on impact.
  • Glowstone Dust — Can increase damage and make the target glow.
  • Slime Ball — Allows arrows to bounce multiple times.
  • Honeycomb — Creates temporary honey traps that slow targets and can replace suitable blocks with honey before restoring them.
  • Ender Pearl — Teleports the shooter to the hit target or a suitable impact location.
  • Blaze Powder — Ignites the ground and melts snow.
  • Turtle Scute — Slows affected targets.
  • Dragon's Breath — Creates a lingering dragon's-breath effect cloud.
  • Prismarine Crystals — Allows arrows to travel through water without being slowed.
  • Wind Charge — Deals damage and knocks back entities around the impact point.
  • Lapis Lazuli — Applies a random potion effect.
  • Fire Charge — Creates an explosion and fire.
  • Firework Star — Adds bonus arrow damage.
  • Firework Rocket — Adds bonus damage with firework-related effects.
  • Magma Cream — Creates a temporary zone that launches entities into the air and can ignite them.
  • Snowball — Freezes hit targets and extinguishes fire.
  • Rabbit's Foot — Improves loot rolls and can increase the number of items dropped.
  • Armadillo Scute — Adds damage, partially bypasses armor, and can give the arrow a chance to be recovered.

Redstone, utility, and traversal

  • Redstone — Activates redstone mechanisms within a configurable radius for a limited time and gives affected mobs a red outline.
  • Ender Eye — Enables arrows to seek nearby valid targets and adjust their trajectories.
  • Chorus Fruit — Swaps the positions of the shooter and the hit target.
  • Popped Chorus Fruit — Sends the target away in a random direction, using displacement or knockback.
  • Sugar — Grants Speed to the shooter and makes the target perform a short, random dash.
  • Ghast Tear — Removes a negative effect from a target and stores it for release as a cloud on a subsequent hit.
  • Bone Meal — Fertilizes nearby crops and suitable plants.
  • Torch — Places a regular torch at a suitable impact location.
  • Soul Torch — Places a soul torch.
  • Redstone Torch — Places a redstone torch.

Spiders, ink, and unusual effects

  • Spider Eye — Spawns temporary spiders near the target. They attack the target without attacking the shooter.
  • Fermented Spider Eye — Reverses compatible status effects on the target and transfers beneficial original effects to the shooter.
  • Ink Sac — Blinds targets and can recolor suitable blocks black. Against players, it can also interfere with input.
  • Glow Ink Sac — Blinds and highlights targets, interferes with player input, and can recolor suitable blocks white.
  • Nether Wart — Adds a delayed follow-up hit and a chance to apply a random basic potion effect.
  • Egg — Has a chance to spawn a chick on impact.

Seeds and crop planting

Plant crops by shooting suitable farmland or blocks with the appropriate component.

  • Pumpkin Seeds — Plant a row up to 3 blocks long.
  • Melon Seeds — Plant a row up to 3 blocks long.
  • Wheat Seeds — Plant crops in a 3×3 area.
  • Beetroot Seeds — Plant crops in a 3×3 area.
  • Potato — Plants potatoes in a 3×3 area.
  • Carrot — Plants carrots in a 3×3 area.
  • Torchflower Seeds — Plant in a 3×3 area.
  • Pitcher Pod — Plants pitcher plants in a 3×3 area.
  • Cocoa Beans — Grow cocoa pods on suitable jungle logs.

When planting succeeds, the arrow can be recovered with its effect slot cleared.

Dye effects

All 16 vanilla dye colors are supported, as well as compatible dyes from other mods.

Dye arrows can recolor suitable blocks and dyeable creatures without dealing damage.

🧪 Potions — 20 Types

Add potion effects to arrows using supported drinkable, splash, and lingering potion forms. Lingering variants can create area effects, while splash variants provide their own impact interactions.
