## [1.3.1] - Boss size, config checking and domain fixes Maintenance and bug-fix update. If something breaks or behaves differently than before, please report it on the [issue tracker](https://github.com/Fi3w0/Fiw-Bosses/issues). > **⚠ Upgrade note:** a boss or custom minion with `renderEntity` now has that mob's hitbox instead of the player-sized one (an iron golem disguise is 1.4 x 2.7). Spawns are lifted up to 3 blocks or refused when the boss does not fit. Update client and server together. > > **⚠ Upgrade note:** domains with custom attacks could crash dedicated or singleplayer servers when their goals were replaced. Fixed on every supported loader/version. ### Added - `scale` (0.0625-16, default 1) on bosses and custom minions resizes the model, hitbox and name tag height together, on every loader and Minecraft version. ([#3](https://github.com/Fi3w0/Fiw-Bosses/issues/3)) - `reach` (0-16 blocks, default 0) adds melee reach on top of the normal reach, for long weapons or small bosses. ([#3](https://github.com/Fi3w0/Fiw-Bosses/issues/3)) - Room check before a boss spawns from `/boss spawn`, summon items/altars and scheduled world spawns: the spawn is lifted up to 3 blocks to fit the boss's hitbox, or refused. `/boss spawn` and summon items say how much open space the boss needs (the summon item is not used up); schedules log a warning and skip that spawn. - `/boss validate` (op level 3) lists every config problem with its file and field: misspelled keys with a "did you mean" hint, unknown ability types (also inside domain `attacks` and rages), out-of-range values, duplicate ids, missing minions/variants/rages and schedule mistakes. - Configs are also checked on every load and `/boss reload`: each problem is logged, and `/boss reload` says how many it found. - `domainBreakSound` (on/off) and `domainBreakVolume` (0-100%, default 50%) in `settings.json` control the domain collapse sound for every boss. - Domain `attacks[]` accept `cooldownTicks` as an alias of `cooldown` on every supported target. If both are set, `cooldown` wins; the default stays 40 ticks. - Copy-ready `examples/settings.json` with every default, and `examples/schedules/clockwork_guardian.json` with a 30-minute world spawn schedule. ### Changed - A boss or custom minion with `renderEntity` uses that mob's hitbox instead of the player-sized one. ([#3](https://github.com/Fi3w0/Fiw-Bosses/issues/3)) - Melee reach follows body size: big bosses hit you without walking into you, and bosses smaller than 1x get proportionally shorter reach so a tiny boss can't out-reach its own hitbox. - Shadow clones copy the boss's `scale` and `reach`; difficulty variants keep the boss's size. - Teleport, swap and slam abilities no longer move a big boss into a spot where its hitbox would be stuck in blocks. - Domain collapse sound: the layered ender dragon death roar is removed, the `domain_break` sound is quieter by default and carries 48 blocks. - Config files are always read as UTF-8 (on 1.20.1 under Windows, non-English names and messages could be garbled before). ### Fixed - Domains with custom attacks no longer crash the server when they end, are interrupted, or the boss changes phase or is reloaded mid-domain. Domain goals are restored safely, stale phase/reload actions are discarded, and the active rage overlay is kept. - Side-strafing bosses now close into melee range instead of continuously backing away from their target. - Local `file` skins accept a name with or without `.png`. ### Documentation - Configuration guide: new "Size and hitbox" section, `scale`/`reach` fields, `/boss validate` and the domain sound settings. - Corrected commands, paths, navigation, persistence notes and domain sound overrides; global settings, webhooks, pathfinding and records have their own sections. - README and Modrinth page list `/boss validate`.

## [1.3.0] - Summon altars, variants, rages and anti-cheese ### Added - **Summon items & altars** — new `summon` list on a boss. Players right-click with a configured item (vanilla `item`, optional exact `name`, or a Fiw Tools `toolId`) to start the fight, optionally only on an `altar` block. Per-entry `consume`, per-player `cooldownSeconds`, `variant` and a server-wide `message`. Example: `examples/summon/ember_warden.json`. - **Spawn limits** — `spawnLimits.maxAlive` and a server-wide `cooldownSeconds` for player summons, with refusal messages telling the player why. Living bosses are counted even in unloaded chunks. State is saved in `config/fiw_bosses/data/spawns.json`. Admin `/boss spawn` is never limited. - **Difficulty variants** — named `variants` (e.g. `hard`) with `healthMultiplier`, `damageMultiplier`, `meleeDamageMultiplier`, `abilityDamageMultiplier`, `lootMultiplier`, an optional replacement `loot` table and `displayName`. Saved with the boss. - **Melee / ability damage multipliers** — phases gain `meleeDamageMultiplier` and `abilityDamageMultiplier` next to `damageMultiplier`. - **Arena leash** — `arena.radius`: a boss pulled too far from its spawn point resets (home, full health, phase 1, fight ledger cleared so nobody earns loot for the abandoned attempt). `minionsOnReset` despawns its minions or brings them to the boss. - **Anti-cheese** — opt-in `antiCheese.stuck` detection with admin-chosen actions (`teleport_to_target`, `teleport_attack`, `teleport_home`, `heal`, `reset`, `despawn`, `rage:<name>`) and optional per-occurrence `escalation`; bosses and custom minions destroy boats/minecarts they're put in (on by default, optional `vehicleRage`); opt-in `ignoreSlowBlocks` (cobweb, powder snow, berry bush, honey, soul sand...) with per-block overrides. Custom minions that can't reach their target teleport to it (`teleportWhenStuck`, on by default). Bosses still never break blocks. - **Rages & enrage timer** — named `rages` that override the current HP phase while active (abilities, multipliers, gear, protection, messages) plus `durationSeconds`, `extraHealthPercent`, `healPercent` and `bossBarColor`. Triggered by stuck actions, vehicles, or automatically `afterSeconds` into the fight. Saved through restarts. Example: `examples/anticheese/rift_sentinel.json`. - **Loot lockout** — `rewards.lockoutHours`: a player who earned rewards from a boss gets no per-player loot or reward commands from it until the lockout ends (still listed in the summary, and told how long is left). `lockoutPerVariant` chooses one shared lockout or one per variant. Saved in `config/fiw_bosses/data/lockouts.json`. - **Kill records** — total kills, fastest kill and its party, top single-fight damage and kills per player, in `config/fiw_bosses/data/records.json`. `/boss stats [bossId]`. - **Discord kill webhooks** — `settings.json` `webhooks.discord` (or a boss's own `webhook`, or `"enabled": false`) posts an embed on every rewarded kill: killer, fight time, variant, top damage, unique drops, new-record footer. Sent off the server thread, no retries. - **Shield phase (pylons)** — a phase or rage `shield` summons `count` pylons (any custom minion) in a ring; the boss takes no damage until all are destroyed, and the boss bar shows how many are left. Example: `examples/anticheese/minions/rift_pylon.json`. - **Selectable path finding** — `pathfinding` in settings.json (default `"vanilla"`, unchanged) or per boss/minion. `"shared"` lets squads chasing the same target share one path search and re-plans less often for far targets — a big saving for large minion swarms. - **Scheduled world spawns** — `schedules` in settings.json or a boss file's `schedule`: every `intervalMinutes` or at daily `times`, random pick from `locations`, server-wide countdown broadcasts, at most one live boss per schedule. Validated on reload (exactly one timing option; a boss file wins over settings.json for the same boss). - Commands: `/boss spawn <bossId> variant <name> [pos]`, `/boss limits <bossId> [reset]`, `/boss rage <targets> start <name>`, `/boss rage <targets> end`, `/boss stats [bossId]`, `/boss schedule list`, `/boss schedule trigger <id>`. - API: `FiwBossesAPI.isMinion(Entity)`, `FiwBossesAPI.getVariant(Entity)`. ### Changed - A phase's `damageMultiplier` now scales ability damage as well as melee (it used to be melee only). Use `meleeDamageMultiplier` to keep the old behavior.

## [1.2.1] - Performance fixes ### Fixed - **Boss bar network spam** — every boss cleared and re-added its boss bar for every nearby player on every tick (about 40 packets per second per player, and the client rebuilt the bar each time). The bar now only adds players who come into range and removes those who leave, checked every 10 ticks. Health and title updates are still instant. - **Idle-timeout player search** — bosses with `idleTimeout` searched the world for nearby players every tick. They now check every second. - **Fight tracking** — damage taken and deaths for raid rewards and the fight summary are now sampled every 5 ticks instead of every tick. Results are the same; deaths on servers with instant respawn are still counted.

## [1.2.0] - Raid rewards, fight summary, uncapped health ### Added - **Raid rewards** — new optional `rewards` block. `"lootMode": "per_player"` gives every eligible player their own roll of the loot table, delivered straight to their inventory (overflow drops at their feet and only they can pick it up). Eligibility needs `minDamagePercent` of the boss's max health dealt, so leechers get nothing. - `"unique": true` loot entries roll once and go to exactly one raider — never duplicated. Ideal for one-of-a-kind Fiw Tools weapons (`toolId`). - `damageLuck` (per boss or per entry) makes bigger contributors luckier; `maxChance` caps it. - `topRanks` limits an entry to the top N damage dealers. - `commands`, `participantCommands` and `mvpCommands` with `{boss}` `{killer}` `{mvp}` `{player}` `{damage}` `{percent}` `{rank}` `{participants}` `{x}` `{y}` `{z}` placeholders. - **Fight summary** — optional chat recap on death: killing blow, top damage with share %, most damage taken, who fell, unique drops and fight time. Only players who actually engaged the boss are listed. Global defaults in the new `config/fiw_bosses/settings.json`, per-boss overrides via a `fightSummary` block, and live toggles with `/boss summary on|off|top|show`. - **`/boss phase <targets> next|prev|set <n>`** — move a live boss to another phase without touching its HP. HP thresholds it already passed won't pull it back. - **Fiw Tools phase hooks** — phase changes are reported to Fiw Tools (its new `on_boss_phase` trigger), and a public `FiwBossesAPI` lets its `boss_phase` admin ability change phases. - **Real HP on the boss bar** — `bossBar.showHealth` (or the global `showBossBarHealth` in `settings.json`) appends the HP to the bar title, e.g. `1,500/1,500 ❤`. - Example raid boss: `examples/raid/raid_titan.json`. ### Fixed - **`/boss kill` and `/kill` could fail to kill a boss.** Admin kills went through the boss's damage handling, so an armed `second_wind` or `preDeathDialogue` swallowed them (and `/boss kill` still reported success). Generic-kill damage now bypasses immunity states, protection, Second Wind and the pre-death hold. - **`second_wind` re-armed instantly after saving the boss** when it had been armed longer than its `cooldownTicks`. The re-arm cooldown now starts when the revive is spent, as documented. - **Boss/minion `health` above 1024 no longer gets silently capped.** Vanilla clamps max health to 1024; bosses and custom minions now really have their configured HP (a 60,000 HP boss has 60,000 HP), and Jade / WTHIT / The One Probe show the true value. The global attribute cap is untouched. Vanilla-base minions are still real vanilla mobs and stay capped. - **Bosses near spawn were deleted on every NeoForge/Forge restart.** Configs loaded after spawn and force-loaded chunks had already loaded their entities, so those bosses were removed as "definition not found". Configs now load before the worlds. - **A boss's phase wasn't restored after a restart** (it re-entered phase 1 and then re-advanced by HP, losing admin-forced phases). The saved phase is now restored. - **Disguised bosses/minions (`renderEntity`) glided without walking or attack animations** on 1.21.1 and 1.20.1. The disguise model now plays the boss's real walk cycle and arm swing. - **A boss that died right before a save came back at full health** after the restart. It now stays dead. ### Notes - Issue #2 (PMMO crash naming `EarthShatterEntity`): that entity belongs to the separate *FD Bosses* mod, not FIW Bosses. FIW Bosses' entities register full attribute suppliers and are handled by PMMO's scan normally. - `/boss kill` never grants raid rewards, commands or a summary; in the default `shared` loot mode the ground drop still happens as before. - All features are available on every supported version and loader (1.21.11, 1.21.8, 1.21.1, 1.20.1 — Fabric, NeoForge, Forge).

## [1.1.3] ### Added - **`wind_charge` boss/minion ability** — leaps toward the target and slams down on landing (no fall damage to the boss itself). This is a fully custom, config-driven mace-style jump-slam: `damage`, `radius`, `knockback`, `launchPower`, `jumpPower`, `horizontalSpeed`, `minRange`/`maxRange`, and an optional `fallDamagePerBlock` (capped by `maxFallBonus`) for a vanilla-flavored fall-scaling bonus — entirely independent of whatever is actually equipped. A boss can visibly wield a `minecraft:mace` and still hit for 1 damage here, or the reverse. See `BOSS_CONFIG_DOCS.md` for the full param table. - **Note on real maces:** equipping `"minecraft:mace"` in `equipment.mainHand` already gives any boss/minion the authentic vanilla smash-attack mechanic for free (mobs holding a mace get it automatically, same as players) — no new code was needed for that. `wind_charge` is the separate, tunable alternative; the two can be combined or used independently. - On 1.20.1 (pre-1.21, no mace item or Gust particles), `wind_charge` behaves identically — jump/slam/knockback are entirely our own code — with period-appropriate particles/sounds. ### Fixed - `/boss minion spawn` used to reject any minion definition with a non-`"custom"` `baseEntity` ("uses a vanilla base entity — spawn it via a boss with summon_minions"), even though the identical definition worked fine when dropped in the `bosses/` folder and spawned with `/boss spawn`. Vanilla-base minions can now be spawned directly by command — the same stat/equipment-override logic `summon_minions` already used is now shared by the command path. - Damage protection (`protection` maps) is now applied before adaptation tracking records the hit, so fully-blocked damage is never recorded and partial protection is reflected in what adaptation actually resists. ### Notes - All features are available on every supported version and loader (1.21.11, 1.21.8, 1.21.1, 1.20.1 — Fabric, NeoForge, Forge).

## [1.1.2] ### Added - **Damage protection maps** — new `protection` config on bosses, phases, and custom minions. Scale or block incoming damage per weapon item id (`"minecraft:mace": 0.2`), exact damage type id (`"minecraft:mace_smash"`, `"minecraft:spear"`), or category (`melee`, `projectile`, `magic`, `fire`, `explosion`, `fall`, `lightning`, `freezing`, `drowning`). `0` = fully immune. Phase maps override the boss map key-by-key. Built to tame the overpowered vanilla mace/spear and custom server weapons — on versions without the dedicated damage types (mace_smash is 1.21.8+, spear is 1.21.11 only), the item-id key works instead. - **Faction system** — optional `faction` id on bosses and custom minions. Allies (same faction, or a boss and its own minions) don't retaliate against each other and their abilities/AoE can't hurt each other. Fully configurable per entity via `damageFactionAllies`, `targetFactionAllies`, and `damageOwnGroup` (all default `false`, preserving previous behavior). - **Spawn counts** — `/boss spawn <id> [count]`, `/boss spawn <id> <pos> [count]`, and `/boss minion spawn <id> [count]` can now spawn multiple entities at once (default 1, no cap; extra spawns are slightly scattered). - **Loot count ranges** — loot entries support `minCount`/`maxCount` for random drop amounts (e.g. 10–120 diamonds at 50% chance). Oversized amounts split into multiple stacks automatically. - **Water/lava handling** — new optional `fluid` block on bosses and custom minions: `drownImmune`, `fireImmune`, `floats` (false = sinks and fights underwater), `swimSpeed`, `pushedByFluids`, and `canSwim` (pathfinding stops avoiding water so bosses chase players into rivers instead of being cheesed from the shore). ### Changed - **All ability chat messages are now optional.** The `shield`, `heal`, `teleport`, and `summon_minions` abilities no longer print built-in fallback taunts ("Your attacks are futile!", "You cannot stop me!", "Behind you...", "Rise, my servants!") when no `taunt` is configured — omit the param and the ability is silent. Configure `taunt` to restore a message. - Ability target filtering was unified across all AoE/melee abilities using the new ally rules. Abilities that previously could never hit another boss (aoe_smash, melee_slash, slam, shockwave, charge) can now hit **non-allied** bosses, so rival boss fights behave consistently across all abilities. ### Notes - Vanilla-base minions (`baseEntity` set to a real mob id) can't use `protection`, `faction`, or `fluid` — those apply to bosses and custom minions only. - All features are available on every supported version and loader (1.21.11, 1.21.8, 1.21.1, 1.20.1 — Fabric, NeoForge, Forge).

## [1.1.1] ### Added - Added three new configurable boss abilities on every supported Minecraft version and loader: - `blink_strike`: telegraphs a target, blinks behind or near them, then hits nearby players with a sweep strike. - `curse_bomb`: marks one or more players with delayed soul bombs that explode around them, rewarding spread-out positioning. - `soul_tether`: chains players to the boss with visible soul tethers, pulls them inward, pulses damage, and punishes players who stretch the tether too far. ### Changed - Updated the release workflow fallback to accept an explicit tag/version and keep Modrinth Fabric API dependencies in the shared publish path.

# Changelog All notable changes to this project are documented here. Each release's section below is used verbatim as the GitHub Release notes (the release workflow extracts the entry matching the tag). ## [1.1.0] > ⚠️ **Major rewrite — expect bugs.** This is the biggest change since the mod began, and it > is still in progress. Because so much was rewritten, it is **not fully tested** — some > abilities or mechanics may be broken or behave differently than before. Many mechanics will > be play-tested and fixed before the main release, and small hotfixes / minor updates are > expected afterwards. Please report anything broken on the > [issue tracker](https://github.com/Fi3w0/Fiw-Bosses/issues). ### Added - **Mono-repo build** replacing the old branch-per-loader layout — every target builds from one tree: - Fabric & NeoForge for Minecraft **1.21.11**, **1.21.8**, and **1.21.1** - Fabric & **Forge** for Minecraft **1.20.1** (brand-new Forge module — NeoForge has no 1.20.1) - The widest loader/version support of any release so far (8 targets), all sharing one feature set. - **More boss abilities** — an expanded set of configurable abilities (52 in total). - Six new configurable boss abilities, available on every supported Minecraft version and loader: - `rift_cleave`: wind-up line cleave with soul/sculk rift visuals, damage, width, range, knockback, linger, and taunt controls. - `fear_burst`: Warden-inspired soul burst with Darkness, Weakness, Slowness, knockback, optional damage, and taunt support. - `mirror_image`: temporary decoys with optional boss invisibility, periodic swaps, reappear effects, and optional reappear damage. - `sacrifice_minion`: consumes owned minions to heal the boss and damage nearby players at the sacrificed minion location. - `last_breath`: low-health interruptible channel that releases a large soul blast if players do not deal enough damage. - `wither_crown`: orbiting wither skull crown that fires real wither skull projectiles one by one. - Two new crowd-control abilities: - `gravity_well`: sucks players into a swirling well, lifts them with Levitation, then drops them with optional impact damage. - `shadow_clone`: spawns fake boss copies that mirror the boss's disguise and skin, follow the boss, and apply an optional debuff on death. - Four new defensive/survival abilities: - `cleanse`: strips all harmful effects off the boss and briefly blocks new debuffs. - `second_wind`: one-shot auto-revive that negates a fatal blow and restores partial health, then re-arms after its cooldown. - `adaptation`: passively grows resistant to whichever damage type (`melee`/`projectile`/`magic`/`fire`/`explosion`) has recently hurt the boss most. - `rewind`: records position and health and snaps the boss back a few seconds when low — intentionally very strong, meant for long cooldowns. - **Vanilla mob visuals for FIW entities** — bosses and custom minions can now look like vanilla/modded mobs while still using FIW boss/minion logic. Use `renderEntity` on `baseEntity: "custom"` minions, or set a boss `baseEntity` / `renderEntity` to a registry ID such as `minecraft:zombie`. - **Vanilla mobs as simple minions** — minions can still use true vanilla/modded entity types (e.g. `baseEntity: "minecraft:zombie"`) for simple summons with custom stats, equipment, and loot. These keep native mob AI and are intentionally less customizable than FIW custom minions. - Optional **Fiw Tools** integration — reference Fiw Tools items by `toolId` in boss/phase/minion equipment and loot. Reflection-only, no hard dependency; skipped if Fiw Tools is absent. - Example configs under `examples/fiw_tools_integration/` (Void Reaver boss plus its custom items). ### Changed - **Reworked several boss abilities** and **reworked minion/boss behavior** (AI, targeting, movement modes, vanilla-mob handling). - Clarified and documented the recommended minion setup: use `baseEntity: "custom"` with `renderEntity` when you want full FIW abilities/smart movement but a vanilla mob appearance. - **Same JSON config format on every loader and version** — and still backward-compatible with configs written for **1.0.9 and earlier** (including the old item NBT format), so existing bosses keep working. - Ability JSON docs were refreshed to match the current implementation, including `beam`, `domain`, `particle_tornado`, `phantom_dash`, `tracking_orb`, `moving_tornado`, `detect_mark`, `dodge`, and the six new abilities. - Rewritten `README.md` with current supported versions, module layout, ability list, install notes, commands, and build instructions. - `beam` is now configurable while preserving previous defaults: `particle`, `coreParticle`, and `maxLength`. - `particle_tornado` now has configurable visuals and behavior: `particle`, `accentParticle`, `fire`, `fireSeconds`, `size`/`maxRadius`, `height`, `spinSpeed`/`rotationSpeed`, `twist`, `disks`, `damage`, and `duration`. - `dodge` now supports `taunt`, using the same nearby-player boss message style as other taunt-enabled abilities. - Added configurable smart movement modes for bosses and custom minions: `hit_and_run`, `guard_point`, `phase_walk`, `hover`, `sniper`, and `berserk`. Existing `side`/`normal` strafing remains the default, and `vanilla` disables the smart movement overlay. - `phase_walk` uses collision-checked teleport destinations so the entity does not blink into blocks. - Large parts of the mod rewritten for performance and long-term maintainability; shared logic centralized in a Minecraft-free `core` engine plus per-version `common` source sets. - `core` is bundled into every loader jar; Gson + SLF4J are compile-only (provided by Minecraft). ### Fixed - `/boss reload` correctly requires op level 3 (admins) again, instead of inheriting the level-2 gate of the root `/boss` command. - Client skin textures are now released when a boss/minion unloads (Fabric `ENTITY_UNLOAD`, NeoForge/Forge `EntityLeaveLevelEvent`), fixing a GPU texture/resource leak. - `domain` no longer recasts immediately after ending. Domain cooldown now lives on the boss entity, survives goal rebuilds, supports `params.cooldown`, and defaults to at least 1800 ticks when not specified. - `domain` speed buffs are removed cleanly when the domain ends, so the boss returns to normal behavior. - `phantom_dash` no longer teleports the boss into blocks on slopes or near walls. Dashes now clip against walls, snap to safe ground within a small vertical search, and fizzle in place if no safe landing exists. - `particle_tornado` visuals now actually read as a spinning funnel using per-disk helix twist and upward drift. - The 1.21.11 ability fixes were ported to **1.21.8**, **1.21.1**, and **1.20.1** with matching logic and JSON format. - `renderEntity` / vanilla-mob disguises now work on **every loader and version** (Fabric & NeoForge 1.21.8 / 1.21.1, Fabric & Forge 1.20.1), not just 1.21.11. The disguise id is synced to clients (`BossRenderPayload`, or Forge's `BossRenderMessage`, plus a client-side disguise registry), FIW boss/minion render states stay on the FIW renderer path and draw the vanilla disguise instead of falling back to Steve, and walk animation is copied onto the disguised mob — so configs such as `renderEntity: "minecraft:wither_skeleton"` render correctly in real multiplayer/client worlds. - 1.21.8 disguises were drawn at a doubled camera offset (only the shadow showed, with no visible body); the disguise is now rendered at the boss's actual position. ### Known issues - Because this is a rewrite, some abilities/mechanics may be broken, untested, or inconsistent between loaders — bugs are expected, and fixes will follow in small updates. - In-game testing is incomplete: configuration loading is verified on every target, but the abilities, persistence, vanilla-mob behavior, and Fiw Tools paths are not yet fully play-tested across all eight targets. - The shared renderer is a "safe humanoid" model — slim arms and exact player outer layers are not yet matched. - On 1.21.1 and 1.20.1, `renderEntity` disguised mobs render with static limbs while moving — limb-swing animation is only copied on 1.21.8 and 1.21.11. Orientation and tick-based idle motion still animate. - Player skins require an internet connection at server start (Mojang API lookup).

## [1.0.9] — FIW Tools integration Fabric 1.21.11 is the main version of FIW Bosses and the only one that integrates with **FIW Tools**. Bosses can now wield and drop fully custom FIW Tools items by id. ### Added - **FIW Tools integration (`toolId`)** — boss/minion equipment slots and loot entries accept a `toolId` that resolves to a live FIW Tools item. The boss equips or drops that item with its custom name, lore, enchantments, attributes, abilities, curses, and imbuements intact. Works in boss equipment, per-phase equipment, minion equipment, and all loot tables. - **`toolId` validation** — on `/boss reload` and at server start, every loaded config is checked against the FIW Tools item registry, and any unknown `toolId` is reported in a single clear log line (catches typos instead of silently skipping the drop). ### Changed - The FIW Tools bridge now targets the current public API (`isLoaded()` / `listIds()` / `getItemStack(...)`) and logs how many FIW Tools items are registered when it detects the mod. - The bridge stays fully reflection-only with no hard dependency — FIW Bosses loads and runs identically whether or not FIW Tools is installed, and `toolId` references are skipped without errors when it's absent. ### Requirements - Minecraft 1.21.11 · Fabric Loader 0.18.1+ · Fabric API 0.141.3+1.21.11+ · Java 21 - Install on both client and server (not server-side only). - FIW Tools integration is optional — install [FIW Tools](https://modrinth.com/mod/fiw-tools) (Fabric Loader 0.19.2+) to use `toolId` references. --- *Boss/minion configs stay cross-compatible across all FIW Bosses versions; only the Fabric 1.21.11 build resolves `toolId` references.*
