Aside from mods recomended by Klei I would also add

• Snow logging https://modrinth.com/mod/better-snow-coverage/versions

• Better crafting tabs (found by lovley person my unoffical matcha discord) https://modrinth.com/mod/rbip

• Move ambients sounds for your world https://modrinth.com/mod/ambientsounds

• Better sound phisics (but can be heavy on performence) https://modrinth.com/mod/sound-physics-remastered

As well as some datapacks

• Better end generation (will try my best to make end structures compatible with it) https://modrinth.com/datapack/nullscape

• Vanilla tweaks (I can say nothing will brake with "Cauldron conrete", "Cauldron mud" and "More effective tools" which I just like) https://vanillatweaks.net/picker/datapacks/

Also I wanted to add a hotbar texture but this guy made it better than I ever could https://modrinth.com/resourcepack/wk-matcha-bar
