Enhanced Boss Bars is a project that aims to improve all the boss bars so that there is a better immersion in the amazing world of minecraft, since the default bars are very uncreative. Hey! There are several updates!
Right now, rather than just being a visual mod, it functions more like a "boss bar manager." You can decide where the bars are positioned and in which direction they stack up when multiple bars are active.
To make this (and more) possible, all the game's original boss bars have been replaced by "generic" ones that I designed. They’re an improvement over the vanilla versions, though this does mean that boss bars from other mods will also be affected. However, that shouldn't be an issue, as it’s now much easier to add custom boss bar designs.
Anyone can create a texture pack containing .json files to register their own boss bars (you can even register the ones I’ve already created, allowing users to choose their preferred design in the configuration menu).
I’ll explain how to register them in more detail later on (they must be inside a folder named "enhanced_boss_bars"), but feel free to take a look at the source code if you’d like to find out sooner :D
Now, regarding the boss bars themselves, I’ve added the ones from Twilight Forest that were in the texture pack, as well as the boss bar for Umvuthi from Mowzie's Mobs (for all versions), along with the boss bars I redrew.
