Fixes Empty-hand right-click now raises the shield (client → server restore request + immediate offhand use). Added restore on right-click block/entity (empty main hand only, so block placement is unaffected). Unified shield detection to ShieldItem or c:shields, fixing modded shields being pulled away mid-block. Mis-trigger detection now uses actual block duration; 0 disables it. Fixed hidden shields getting stuck when the offhand holds an identical shield. Fixed offhand flicker when closing the inventory; returnDelay = 0 now has a 2-tick safety floor. Item safety Hidden shields drop on death, respecting keepInventory and mods that cancel LivingDropsEvent. Hidden shields are recorded to <world>/shieldhider/hidden_shields.dat and restored on login if missing (no compensation if an identical shield already exists). State & config Transient state is no longer serialized and is reset on login. Cloth Config defaults now match the config file (1.5 s / 0.0 s).

Synchronized the patch fixes for version 1.21.1

Fixed a critical bug that could cause the log system to be flooded with messages, ultimately leading to excessive disk space usage.

Another small update! Eliminate Shields now features broader detection logic. If you use mods that add custom shields, they will now be automatically hidden too—provided the author included the standard shields tag. Enjoy! :)

A small update: Showing the shield in your inventory is now optional! You can now choose whether to enable this feature in the config. If disabled, the shield will remain hidden when you open your inventory (the classic behavior). To unequip it, simply place another item into the offhand slot to swap it out. (P.S. If you really hate seeing shields, you might want to keep this turned off!)

Support for versions 1.21.2-1.21.3 is provided.

Seamless Recovery: Fixed the issue where the shield would temporarily appear when interacting with blocks like Crafting Tables or Anvils. Better Experience: You no longer need to fill the offhand slot to unequip the shield. Just open your inventory and take it off the way you're used to. It's that simple :)
