# Echoes Companions 1.0.35 — Minecraft 26.3 ## Changes - Updated for Minecraft 26.3 and the current Fabric build stack. - Fixed the Companion Whistle recipe category so it loads correctly with 26.3 recipe registries. - Updated companion attack and shield swing animations for the 26.3 animation API. - Updated inventory overflow drops to use the server-side item API. - Retains offline rest, saved equipment/storage/health/XP, roles, beds, guard posts, revival, and conservative targeting from previous releases. ## Requirements Minecraft **26.3**, Fabric Loader **0.19.5+**, Fabric API for **26.3** (tested with **0.160.6+26.3**), and Java **25+**. Server-side only. Players do not need the mod or a resource pack on their clients. ## Updating Stop the server, back up the world and configuration, remove the previous Companions JAR, and install `echoescompanions-1.0.35.jar`. Keep existing companion data and configuration. No intentional data-schema change is included in this release. This release targets Minecraft 26.3 only; use the previous release on 26.2. Update other Echoes modules together if you use the suite.

## Echoes Companions 1.0.34 This update adds persistent offline rest for bonded Little Wanderers. ### Changes - Companions safely leave the active world when their owner logs out. - Gear, health, XP, personality, storage, roles, beds, and guard posts are preserved. - Follow-type companions return beside their owner after login. - Stay companions return to their Little Companion Bed or saved position. - Guard Claim companions return to their guard post. - Logging out does not trigger item drops, death, or a revive egg. - Added cleanup for companion bodies left loaded by older versions or unexpected shutdowns. - Added `despawn_when_owner_offline`, enabled by default. - Wild Little Wanderers and defeated-companion revival remain unchanged. Fully server-side for Fabric 26.2. Clients do not need to install the mod.

Companions 1.0.33: non-hostile mobs should no longer pick Little Wanderers as valid attack targets, which should stop the llama spitting issue.

Echoes Companions 1.0.31 - Gear Duplication Hotfix Changelog Fixed a companion equipment duplication issue that could happen when setting a companion to Stay or sending it home to its Little Companion Bed. Changes: Companion gear is now saved directly to the companion record when the companion GUI closes. The GUI no longer refunds equipped gear to the player just because the companion moved home, changed location, or is outside the player’s current level. Live companion equipment is still updated when the companion entity is available. Prevents duplicated armor, weapons, and offhand items from Stay/bed teleport workflows.

Existing companion data, beds, revive eggs, roles, gear, and configs should continue working normally.

Villagers/village sensors ignore tagged Little Wanderers as hostile sources. Wandering traders, llamas, and other avoidant mobs stop fleeing from tagged companions.

Wild Little Wanderers now take occasional idle walks when no dropped food is nearby. Follow-type companions now recover after elytra/distance travel even if they were left outside the active tick range. The catch-up waits until you are no longer actively gliding, so it should not yank the companion into unsafe midair travel. Stay and Guard Claim still remain anchored unless you manually recall them.

Updated EchoesCompanions to 1.0.27 to prevent whistle/recall rebuilds from duplicating managed companion gear, keep saved records intact when a rebuild cannot be added to the world, and safely retire nearby duplicate companion bodies.

Companions can now ride with the owner on: Boats, as before Camels Camel Husks Happy Ghasts Any configured multi-seat mount ID in config/echoescompanions.json It still avoids bad cases: companions will not mount up if they are in Stay, Guard Claim, defeated, or dueling. It also won’t force normal horses or other one-seat mounts.
