Divinity Engine

Divinity Engine is a powerful and expandable Minecraft framework that brings an entire pantheon of gods, divine powers, trials, quests, stories, and consequences into the game.

Designed for both players and mod developers, Divinity Engine transforms Minecraft survival into a world shaped by faith, favor, divine relationships, and player choice.

Discover ancient shrines throughout the world, make contact with powerful gods, earn their favor, unlock divine blessings, undertake quests and trials, uncover their stories, and decide what kind of relationship you will build with the pantheon.

The gods are no longer simply sources of powers. They have their own domains, personalities, histories, expectations, trials, curses, dialogue, quests, and stories. Your interactions with them can shape how their content unfolds.

The Pantheon

Divinity Engine currently features 18 fully developed gods, each centered around a different divine domain and gameplay style:

  • Solarius — Light, Justice, and Day

  • Nashara — Poison, Deception, and Shadow

  • Grond — Mountains, Crafting, and Endurance

  • Varun — Animals, Instinct, and Wilderness

  • Dravak — Blood, Valor, and Strength

  • Elaris — Knowledge, Magic, and Insight

  • Voltira — Thunder, Chaos, and Sky

  • Vokar — Spirits, Shadows, and Finality

  • Nythea — Night, Illusion, and Calm

  • Kairoth — Time, Destiny, and Choice

  • Cryonis — Ice, Winter, and Stillness

  • Nerai — Water, Rain, and Weather

  • Zephra — Air, Movement, and Speed

  • Terra — Nature, Plants, and Earth

  • Lumen — Light, Order, and Purity

  • Mechanos — Metal, Crafting, and Golems

  • Ignar — Fire and Combat

  • Aethon — Stars, Vision, and the Cosmic

Every god has their own:

  • Shrine and statue

  • Divine domain

  • Personality and lore

  • Favor relationship

  • Blessings

  • Curse

  • Godly Trial

  • Quests and story content

  • Unique dialogue and interactions

Favor and Divine Relationships

Every god tracks their relationship with the player independently through the Favor System.

Favor is divided into six tiers:

Champion → Devoted → Favorable → Neutral → Displeased → Enemy

Players can build relationships with gods by interacting with their shrines, praying, making offerings, completing divine content, and performing actions connected to their domains.

Falling into disfavor may instead invoke the god's wrath and activate their unique curse.

Your relationship with one god does not prevent you from discovering or interacting with the rest of the pantheon.

Divine Shrines

Shrines are one of the primary ways players encounter and interact with the gods.

Each member of the pantheon has a dedicated shrine structure and matching divine statue.

Shrine interactions include:

  • First contact with a god

  • Prayer

  • Item offerings

  • Living-entity offerings

  • Worship interactions

  • Favor progression

  • Divine dialogue

  • Quest and story interactions

  • Access to Godly Trials

Shrines are distributed throughout different parts of the Minecraft world, encouraging players to explore in search of the pantheon.

There are currently 18 divine shrine structures, one for every god.

Blessings

Earn the favor of the gods to gain access to powerful Divine Blessings.

Divinity Engine currently contains 90 blessings, with each of the 18 gods possessing five unique powers.

Blessings range from passive effects and combat enhancements to mobility powers, defensive abilities, utility mechanics, supernatural movement, and large active attacks.

Players may equip a maximum of 3 blessings at once, forcing them to create their own divine loadouts rather than simply using every unlocked ability.

Active blessings use dedicated ability inputs and are integrated directly with the Divinity Engine combat and synchronization systems.

Future updates will continue expanding the blessing roster.

Divine Curses

Divine favor can fall just as easily as it can rise.

Every god possesses a unique curse that can punish players who fall far enough into their disfavor.

There are currently 18 divine curses, including effects such as:

  • Eclipse

  • Venom's Spite

  • Cracked Foundation

  • Scent of Prey

  • Coward's Brand

  • Lost Wisdom

  • Static Wrath

  • Wraith's Mark

  • Twilight Reversal

  • Fractured Fate

  • Frostbite

  • Drowned's Pull

  • Windlocked

  • Withered Roots

  • Blinded Grace

  • Null Process

  • Flame Reversal

  • Voidmarked

Curses are designed around each god's personality and domain rather than acting as simple generic debuffs.

Godly Trials

Each god possesses their own Godly Trial.

Trials are special challenges designed to test whether a player is worthy of progressing further with a deity.

Divinity Engine includes a dedicated Godly Trials dimension and a server-controlled trial system capable of managing:

  • Multiple trial phases

  • Timed objectives

  • Player progress

  • Failure conditions

  • Completion conditions

  • Arena setup

  • Arena cleanup

  • Server/client synchronization

  • Trial-specific mechanics

The dedicated Trial HUD displays:

  • God

  • Trial

  • Current phase

  • Timer

  • Objective

  • Progress

  • Failure state

  • Completion state

All 18 gods have their own trial, giving each deity a major gameplay challenge beyond simply earning favor.

Divine Quests and Stories

The gods now have their own quests and narrative content, allowing players to learn more about the pantheon through actual gameplay.

Divinity Engine's story system supports branching narratives, meaning a story does not always have to unfold the same way.

Player decisions can divide stories into different paths and lead to different events or results.

This allows the mythology of Divinity Engine to become something players actively participate in rather than simply reading through lore pages.

Choices can influence:

  • Story progression

  • Future events

  • Dialogue

  • Outcomes

  • Divine relationships

  • Lore discoveries

Different players can therefore experience different versions of the same divine story.

Gods That Feel Alive

The pantheon is designed to feel like a collection of actual divine beings rather than menus that distribute abilities.

Gods can respond to the player's progress, relationships, quests, trials, and story interactions through unique dialogue and presentation.

Their personalities and domains influence how they communicate with players and how their divine content is presented.

As Divinity Engine continues to grow, the pantheon will become increasingly interconnected through stories, lore, quests, and divine events.

Divine Codex

The Divine Codex acts as the player's guide to Divinity Engine.

It includes dedicated pages explaining major mechanics and concepts such as:

  • Welcome

  • Seeker of Power

  • Earning Favor

  • Blessings of the Divine

  • Shrines and Contact

  • The Known Pantheon

  • Using Your Powers

The Codex system is expandable, allowing additional content and addon-created pages to be registered.

Custom Dimensions

Divinity Engine currently adds two special dimensions:

Godly Trials

A controlled divine arena dimension used by the Godly Trial system.

Pocket Dimension

A personal supernatural space connected to Aethon's Pocket Dimension blessing.

Aethon's power allows the player to enter the Pocket Dimension and later return to their saved location.

The system also includes its own private pocket storage inventory.

Battle Aspects

Divinity Engine includes a collection of custom combat effects known as Battle Aspects:

  • Rend

  • Momentum

  • Sunderer

  • Overwhelm

  • Bulwark

  • Second Skin

  • Stoic Vigor

  • Enduring Spark

  • Venombrand

  • Soulflare

  • Frostbite

  • Thunderclash

These effects support the mod's blessings and combat mechanics while allowing divine abilities to behave differently from standard Minecraft potion effects.

Improved Interface and Rendering

Divinity Engine includes custom interfaces for its major systems, including:

  • Blessings Menu

  • Divine Codex

  • Godly Trial HUD

  • Pocket Dimension Inventory

The user interface and rendering systems have been redesigned and improved to provide clearer information, smoother interactions, and stronger visual identity throughout the mod.

Quality-of-life improvements have also been made across the divine systems to make managing blessings, favor, quests, and trials easier.

Performance

Divinity Engine contains numerous systems that continuously interact with players, gods, blessings, favor, curses, structures, and trials.

Recent versions include significant internal optimization work aimed at eliminating random lag spikes and reducing unnecessary processing.

Performance-sensitive systems have been reworked so the mod can support its growing amount of content without sacrificing normal gameplay performance.

Built for Addons

Divinity Engine is both a complete divine-content mod and an expandable framework for other mod developers.

Addon developers can already create their own divine content and integrate it directly into Divinity Engine's existing systems.

Developers can add:

  • Custom Gods — Create entirely new deities with their own identity, domains, colors, divine content, and progression.

  • Custom Blessings — Register new passive and active divine abilities for existing or addon-created gods.

  • Custom Godly Trials — Build new trials using Divinity Engine's trial framework, objectives, phases, progression, and completion systems.

  • Custom Stories — Create divine stories with dialogue, choices, branching paths, conditions, and different outcomes.

  • Custom Structures — Add shrines and other structures associated with addon gods and divine content.

  • Divine Codex Content — Register additional pages and information for addon content.

Addon gods can therefore have their own blessings, stories, trials, structures, lore, and progression while using Divinity Engine's existing systems for the underlying divine framework.

This allows developers to create anything from a single additional god to an entirely new addon pantheon without modifying Divinity Engine itself.

Divinity Engine is designed so its built-in 18 gods are only one pantheon that can exist within the framework—the system can continue expanding through addons created by other developers.

Commands

Divinity Engine provides development, administration, and testing commands under:

/divinity_engine

Available functions include:

  • Contact a god

  • Contact all gods

  • Lose faith with a god

  • Lose faith with all gods

  • Modify favor

  • Modify favor for all gods

  • List registered gods

  • Reset blessing cooldowns

Whether you choose to become a Champion of Solarius, hunt alongside Varun, manipulate fate with Kairoth, walk the veil with Vokar, command the storm with Voltira, or uncover the mysteries of Aethon, Divinity Engine gives you a world where your relationship with the divine becomes part of your Minecraft journey.

Faith shapes fate—and the gods are watching.

Что нового
# Divinity Engine — Major Update This update is focused on making **Divinity Engine feel more complete, immersive, responsive, and alive**. Rather than simply adding more gods or powers, this release expands the systems surrounding the existing pantheon with new narrative content, Godly Trials, redesigned interfaces, rendering improvements, blessing changes, major quality-of-life improvements, and important performance work. ## ✦ Godly Trials The **Godly Trial system has arrived.** All 18 gods now have their own divine trial designed around their identity and domain. The new system includes: * 18 individual Godly Trials * Dedicated `godly_trials` dimension * Server-owned trial sessions * Multi-phase trials * Timed objectives * Objective tracking * Trial failure conditions * Trial completion conditions * Automatic phase progression * Arena generation * Arena cleanup after trials * Player synchronization * Dedicated Godly Trial HUD The new HUD displays the current: * God * Trial * Phase * Timer * Objective * Progress * Completion/failure state Trials are now a major part of progressing and interacting with each god. <div><hr></div> ## ✦ God Quests Gods now have **quest content** beyond shrine worship and blessing progression. These quests give players new reasons to interact with individual gods and allow their domains and personalities to influence actual gameplay objectives. God quests are designed to become an increasingly important part of divine progression in future updates. <div><hr></div> ## ✦ New Lore & Branching Stories Divinity Engine now includes a much larger narrative system. Gods can have their own **stories and lore-driven encounters**, and stories can split into multiple branches depending on player decisions. Different decisions can result in different: * Story paths * Events * Dialogue * Outcomes * Divine responses * Lore discoveries Not every player is required to experience a story in exactly the same way. This lays the foundation for much larger interconnected pantheon storylines in future updates. <div><hr></div> ## ✦ Gods Feel More Alive A major focus of this update was improving how the gods are presented. The gods are being moved away from simply functioning as blessing providers and toward feeling like actual characters within the world. Improvements include expanded: * Divine dialogue * Personality * Quest interactions * Story interactions * Trial interactions * Favor-based interactions * Lore presentation Each god should now feel more connected to their domain and their relationship with the player. <div><hr></div> ## ✦ New & Improved GUI Several parts of Divinity Engine's interface have been redesigned. The update includes improvements to systems such as: * Blessings GUI * Divine Codex * Trial HUD * Divine information presentation * Navigation * General menu readability The goal is to make the mod easier to understand while giving its divine systems a stronger visual identity. <div><hr></div> ## ✦ Rendering Improvements Divinity Engine's rendering systems have received major improvements. Visual presentation for divine content has been reworked to support the growing amount of custom content in the mod and provide a cleaner foundation for future visual features. This work will also make it easier to expand divine visual effects in later updates. <div><hr></div> ## ✦ Blessing Updates Existing blessings received another pass to improve their behavior, consistency, and overall gameplay. Updates include fixes and improvements to the blessing system and individual divine powers. The current pantheon still contains: **18 Gods × 5 Blessings = 90 Blessings** Additional blessings are planned for a future update. <div><hr></div> ## ✦ Quality-of-Life Update Numerous smaller improvements have been made throughout Divinity Engine. These changes are intended to reduce unnecessary friction when interacting with: * Gods * Shrines * Favor * Blessings * Trials * Quests * Divine Codex content Many smaller behaviors and interactions have also been cleaned up as part of the update. <div><hr></div> ## ✦ Performance Improvements One of the most important technical improvements in this release is work addressing the **random lag spikes** that could occur during normal gameplay. Several frequently-running systems have been reviewed and optimized to reduce unnecessary processing and improve consistency. Divinity Engine should now provide a noticeably smoother experience, particularly during normal survival gameplay where multiple divine systems are active simultaneously. <div><hr></div> ## ✦ Divine Codex Improvements The Divine Codex remains the central guide for learning Divinity Engine. Its interface and supporting systems have received improvements alongside the rest of the GUI update, providing a better foundation for the growing amount of lore, stories, quests, gods, and divine mechanics. <div><hr></div> ## ✦ Internal System Improvements A large amount of work in this update happened behind the scenes. Several systems have been rebuilt or cleaned up to better support future expansion, particularly: * Trials * Synchronization * Rendering * Divine interactions * Blessing behavior * Quest/story content * Performance-sensitive systems These changes provide a stronger foundation for future Divinity Engine updates and addons. <div><hr></div> # Current Divinity Engine Content Following this update, Divinity Engine includes: * **18 Gods** * **90 Blessings** * **18 Curses** * **18 Godly Trials** * **18 Shrine Structures** * **18 God Statues** * **God Quests** * **Branching Divine Stories** * **Favor & Faith Progression** * **Blessing Loadouts** * **Divine Codex** * **12 Battle Aspects** * **2 Custom Dimensions** * **Custom GUIs** * **Godly Trial HUD** * **Pocket Dimension System** * **Addon APIs and Registries** * **Improved Rendering** * **Performance Optimizations** And this is only the foundation. Future updates will continue expanding the gods, their stories, divine progression, and the blessing roster—including the planned expansion from **5 to 7 blessings per god**.
