Bodycam Mod v2.0 ## New Items, Blocks & Crafting System All mod items now have their own dedicated creative tab. There are completely new crafting recipes for all mod items, which are built around a new core resource: * **Observation Crystal** * **Jammer:** Features 3 dynamic modes: *Off* (everyone can observe), *On* (no one can observe), and *Limited* (observation range is limited) * **Dimension Locator** * **Hologram Block:** This leaves behind a special **Hologram Dummy** that is completely immortal and cannot be attacked * **Anonymizer** ## The New GUI & Selection Menu * **New Design:** The selection menu is now a true window with smooth scrolling. For better orientation, the player's face (like in the TAB list) is displayed right next to the name. * **Smart Button System:** Observation buttons are dynamically grayed out when: * The target is out of range (over 500 blocks) or in another dimension. * The target has a **Jammer** set to *Active* or *Limited* (and is out of range). * You are currently being observed by that specific person. * **Dynamic Status Colors:** Players in the menu are automatically color-coded: * **Blue (Highest Priority):** Player is currently observing you. * **Red (Second Highest Priority):** Player cannot be observed due to a Jammer. * **White (Standard):** Player can be observed normally. ## Brand New Dummy & Damage Logic (Damage Sync) The core engine under the hood was completely rewritten: Instead of wildly teleporting the real player back and forth for damage calculation, you now remain safely in the camera view. * The **Dummy** in the world now takes the actual damage and synchronizes it 1:1 with the real player on the server side (Note: The Hologram Dummy is an exception, as it is completely immortal). * This also applies to death: If the regular dummy dies, the player dies cleanly along with it, and the observation is correctly terminated for everyone. ## The New, Immersive Camera Overlay & Controls The visual experience during observation has been massively upgraded to create a true bodycam feeling: * **Refreshed HUD & Darkened Frame:** The camera elements have been visually overhauled. A new, slightly transparent, darkened frame around the edge of the screen heavily enhances the authentic camera aesthetic The Vanilla HUD elements (name of the observed player, their health, and shift/sneak status) remain seamlessly integrated and clearly visible. * **Focus on Immersion:** The crosshair is strictly hidden during observation ## Config System (Client & Server) * **Ingame Client Config:** Players can now adjust their own settings directly in the game via the mod menu (including a scroll menu and reset button). Here, individual camera overlays (Name, Health, Shift) can be specifically toggled on and off. Additionally, all GUI colors can be personalized via hex code (including a live color preview). * **Server Config (Host Only):** Full control for server admins. The maximum monitor distance is adjustable (Default: 500). All new items as well as the Reach enchantment can be completely disabled. Furthermore, there is an OP-Only mode that unlocks the mod functions exclusively for server operators. ## Optimizations & Bug Fixes * Massive performance optimizations in the network code (sync packets) * Fixed the cross-observation bug (status update upon dummy death) * Numerous other small bug fixes for an absolutely smooth and stable experience

**New Features & Improvements:** * Dummies now dynamically load their current chunk to prevent despawning when players leave the camera view * The normal Monitor now shares the UI of the enchanted version but is restricted to a 500-block range and the same dimension * The camera now seamlessly tracks targets as they travel through portals and across different dimensions * Added a brief blackout effect when returning from custom dimensions to smoothly hide teleport delays * Implemented a crash-recovery login guard to safeguard and recover active sessions after unexpected disconnects * The camera session now safely tracks targets via their UUID and aborts cleanly upon server disconnects **Bugfixes:** * Fixed an issue where various items and text elements were displayed in the wrong language * Fixed a visual bug that caused observed players to flicker for a single tick when toggling the camera * Stopped the "Exit with: Shift" overlay text from briefly flashing again after its fade-out animation * Prevented the game from wrongly teleporting observers to their bed or world spawn when leaving modded dimensions
