Better than Ambiance!

An ambiance mod for Better than Adventure! (a b1.7.3 fork) that makes subtle adjustments to the rain experience and adds other sounds to improve the mood. Currently, it adds unique dynamic sounds to different blocks when raining, improved thunder effects, crickets, and more!

Inspired by Cool Rain by Jaiz for later versions

Installation

Prerequisites

  • HalpLibe (included with Babric)

Steps

  1. Download the latest release
  2. Place the .jar file in your mods folder
  3. Launch the game
  4. Configure your preferences in the options menu

**Completely rewrote the sounds management system to be more optimized and realistic!** - Sounds are now detected in a sphere with a radius of 6 blocks. - Sounds will dynamically change their volume based on distance from the player. - The source of the sounds will now come from their respective block instead of "just around the player." - Each type of block will now only play a limited number of sounds. To avoid overwhelming the player. - Fixed an issue where multiple types of sounds could not be played simultaneously. - Slightly improved the "rain on water" sounds to be more subtle. - Full Changelog: https://github.com/Pasithea0/better-than-rain/compare/1.1.0...1.2.0 THIS VERSION REQUIRES AT LEAST JAVA 17!
