# New Content ## Jalapeño Melon ### Effects - When a Jalapeño Melon or any of its unwaxed derived blocks is destroyed by an explosion, it triggers a cross-shaped effect with a radius of 6 and applies the “Heart Burn” effect to nearby mobs. - When a Jalapeño Melon or any of its unwaxed derived blocks is destroyed by an explosion, it triggers a cross-shaped effect with a radius of 10, applies the “Heart Burn” effect to nearby mobs, and causes an explosion with power 1. - Right-clicking a Jalapeño Melon or any of its unwaxed derived blocks with Flint and Steel can detonate it manually, triggering a cross-shaped effect, applying the “Heart Burn” effect to nearby mobs, and causing an explosion; the radius and explosion power vary with the size of the Jalapeño Melon block. - When a Jalapeño Melon or any of its unwaxed derived blocks receives a random tick, it produces particle effects. ### Jalapeño Melon Crop - This crop must be planted on a Magma Block with Lava directly beneath it. - Growth speed doubles in the Nether. - The Jalapeño Melon crop has 8 growth stages, corresponding to the integer block state age=0–7 and 4 visual growth stages. - After the Jalapeño Melon stem reaches its final mature stage, it periodically attempts to generate a Jalapeño Melon according to the following rules: - Generation position: The Jalapeño Melon stem randomly selects one of the four adjacent blocks to its east, west, south, or north as the position to generate a Jalapeño Melon. - Strict generation conditions: The selected position must satisfy both of the following conditions; otherwise, the attempt fails and it waits for the next random check: the position must be an air block, and the top surface of the block below that position must be complete. - After a Jalapeño Melon block is generated, if you harvest only the Jalapeño Melon without breaking the central Jalapeño Melon crop stem, the stem does not need to be replanted and reverts to stage 2, corresponding to age=2. - Using Magma Cream has a chance to speed up growth of the Jalapeño Melon stem, up to stage 3, corresponding to age=6, but it cannot make the stem immediately produce a Jalapeño Melon block. Magma Cream only affects stem growth; producing a Jalapeño Melon block still requires waiting for the game’s random “fruit set” check.
