Athi's Airdrops

Bring thrilling airdrop events to your server with Athi's Airdrops. A fully customizable plugin that lets you create random loot crates with configurable chances, unique tracking mechanics, and PvP-focused crate locking!

Compatible With: ItemsAdder | Nexo | MMOItems

Features

Customizable loot tables - define what items drop and set custom chances for each loot.

Compass tracking system - players can right-click a compass to locate the nearest loot crate.

Locked crates with timers - crates stay locked for configurable seconds after landing, encouraging exciting PvP battles over loot.

Adjustable spawn radius - control how far from players or set locations the crates can appear.

Custom messages - all notifications, announcements, and action bar texts are configurable via the plugin config.

Manual drops - trigger airdrops on command.

Lightweight & optimized - minimal server impact with asynchronous handling.

Easy to configure - simple YAML config files let you tailor every aspect without editing code.

ItemsAdder integration - This plugin supports latest ItemsAdder Version. If you have it, you can add custom items to loot crates.

Commands

/airdrop start       - Start automatic airdrop system
/airdrop stop        - Stop automatic airdrop system
/airdrop spawn       - Spawn an airdrop crate manually
/airdrop status      - Check current airdrop status
/airdrop reload      - Reload the plugin configuration

How It Works

When an airdrop is started, a loot crate spawns within the configured spawn radius. Players receive customizable messages announcing the drop. Players use the tracking compass (right-click) to find the crate’s location. After landing, crates remain locked for a set time, encouraging PvP combat over the loot. When unlocked, players race to open the crate and claim the rewards.

Installation

Download the .jar and place it in your server’s plugins/ folder. Restart your server to generate the configuration files. Customize loot tables, spawn radius, lock timers, and messages in config.yml. Use /airdrop start to test your first airdrop!

# **Fixes:** Lockdown Hologram is no longer visible when lock-airdrop is false Reload now actually reload the loot.yml too Now when you do /airdrop reload it stops the airdrop system if it's turned on, to be sure that everything works as intended. Now the plugin check for errors in loot.yml to be sure that ID's for items are ok. Easier to understand chance system. Min Max Items removed from config.yml. Removed Weight from every item. Added Min Max Items for every loot table. ### **CHECK DOCUMENTATION FOR NEW .YML CONFIGS TEMPLATE** Solved Min player needed online problem. Fixed ghost chests. Now the plugin will clear all airdrops before server stop so no more chests on map after server restart (I hope) Fixed ItemsAdder TileState Error when close chest if ItemsAdder is active. **Fixed chest break**- Now players can't break the chest. Everyone have a chance to get items from it. **Fixed chunk loading for unloaded ones** - Now, airdrops spawned in unloaded chunks will load the chunk while the airdrop is there to be sure that the systems works as intended. **Airdrop Animation** - Now the Airdrops spawn in air, with a drop animation (Still WIP, changes will come soon) **Enhanced cleanup process** - Enhanced the process of cleaning the airdrop after the timer ends.
