With this modpack I tried to recreate the impression Hytale originally left on me after the release of the first trailer.

So the purpose here isn't to replicate the game's content, but to echo the way it made me feel before we actually had the chance to play it. Which means this is a highly subjective vision based on what I saw in blog posts back then.

I hope it will also leave you with that sense of wonder and adventure.

I did not add any content from the actual game (textures, lore, mobs, features, ...). But you can import the OST of Hytale directly in the game thanks to Reactive Music and this ressource pack. The music will even change dynamically based on your environment.

The modpack's vibe comes mostly from the resource pack used (Whimscape), the custom settings of the integrated shaderpack (Complementary Unbound), and the whimsical music from the Reactive Music mod (or the OST of the actual game if you have downloaded it). That's why I strongly advise against playing without these, as you would lose most of the charm.

A verdant meadow biome sprinkled with flowers, in which cows graze peacefully. In the background stands a hill covered with a spruce forest. The weather is clear, with a few clouds.

# The big overdue update is finally available! ### This is the occasion to rebrand this modpack since Hytale did end up being released. ### That's why A Whispered Echo is becoming **Tell your Tale!** ### _____ A lot has changed since the last update, and I haven't really kept track of those changes, so I can't provide you a detailed changelog this time, sorry _(I know how much you love reading changelogs)_. But in summary, the modpack has been updated to **1.21.11** with a bunch of QoL mods _(the purpose of this modpack is still not to add content)_ and a ton of changes in the configs for a better experience. The biggest change is in **terrain generation**, which is now handled by **[Terralith](https://modrinth.com/datapack/terralith)** for a more fantasy-like setting! You can also listen to the **Hytale soundtrack** directly in Minecraft. The music will even adapt dynamically to your environment. Since the resource pack is too large to be included in this Modrinth file, you'll need to download it yourself from its **[Curseforge page](https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/texture-packs/hytale-ost-reactive-music-pack)** and then load it into the game via [Reactive Music](https://modrinth.com/mod/reactive-music) _(you can access the mod's settings in the mod menu)_
